easy test, get yourself a pressure differential gauge and put the pre-probe at the snorkel entrance. Put the post-probe at the back of the airbox above the filter. There is no difference.

You are hearing more intake noise, for you to "Feel" more power up top you need to make 20+hp and those don't do anything
the intake isn't any louder than before to be honest...

there's already before/after data - volumetric air difference and pressure difference, so the test probes you're asking for have been done...

Under what conditions and tested how? Small change in temp could account for their claimed changes

TTM is laughing all the way to the bank. Especially after those group sales that sent thousands in sales their way for a couple of hunks of plastic. If you guys just like how they look go crazy, they do kinda look cool in a way I guess. Just don't expect any measurable power gains. Even at 180 mph.

Here is a thought....

Let's just all agree that they look kinda cool and don't decrease power.

I think of it as a cosmetic mod that has a chance to improve air flow in combination with the beast tubes.
Makes me happy....lol

I agree they will not decrease power and look interesting.

I like the look more then anything and if your buying this as a power mod don't bet on it cause i agree with everyone else i don't think you will "Feel" any measurable diffrence But im sure it helps top end.

I'm glad I bought a pair and at speed I can definitely feel more power as the S/C doeesn't have to work quite as hard to generate the preasure. Every little bit helps.

Scoops, beast tubes, bigger TB it all adds up. More air in, especially for a S/C engine always helps.

Oh and if you disagree...wait for it....don't buy them.

We actually fabricate quite a few parts and they are all of our own designs and not copied like other sponsors on MB World and PSC!

Another group buy going strong as we speak. Thanks for all of your help with the other 2 group buys Alex.

Jake from Eurocharged(he is a data logging *****!!!) quantifies that they actually work and he is a very knowledgeable person. More so than most on MB World.

Haters and detractors....carry on!

a temperature change will not change volumetric increase beyond fractions of an ounce - the numbers show increases of 3 gal/min increase going to the TTM scoops

Yup - the data I simplified was from Jake's logging!

Do they make K&N pod filters (or that sort of brand) for the E55? On my Supras I did that first and it completely changed the sound of the car... if possible, does it create a loud 'whirring' noise with the E55 too?

Never meant to make anyone think they were low quality or copied or anything. I just think they do as much for performance as some light up washer fluid squirters.

just some basic data breakdown here - looks like 4-4.5% increase in volume, and reduces pressure by .5

before:
MAF 1.10 - 56.70
MAP 10.55 - 381.41
Press. 5.91 - 54.93

after:
MAF 1.24 - 59.45
MAP 12.27 - 398.28
Press. 5.91 - 54.63

MAF increase 4.63%
MAP increase 4.24%
Press diff: .55% reduction

at speed, it's noticeable that these have been installed - the M5 guys have seen up to 2 tenths in the 1/4 mile with scoops
For these bad boys to add power, how fast must one be travelling? 200mph? lmao. They look great, thats about it.

It seems like some of you are thinking that these were designed to pressurize the intake system at speed. These only open up the end of the intake to help provide "easier air flow" for the supercharger. Certainly on any car you'd have to have these sealed to the intake to get a true ram air effect. If you look at the stock inlets they are very restrictive, and these versus stock certainly make it easier for the SC do pull in the air. Now if the stock inlets could flow enough air without creating any restriction then I agree these would do nothing.
