Back when I had my e63 I ran pretty consistent 12.3's-12.4's bone stock. It's proly lousy track prep.

Weather conditions have alot to do with the trap speed, andf obviously track prep/driver skill the ET

first time ever in my 07e63 I bested a 12.92@110.58 (bad 60' and high 80s/very humid)

next time ran a 12.34@114.23, better launches by me, and upper 60s/moderate humidity)

In dry 50s I could forsee the possibility of 11s @ 116-117, stock

I went Tuesday evening to run since we were suppose to have ten degree cooler temps then nornmal. It was still mid 80F with mild humidity and I could only get down to 12.759 @ 111.39. I ran twelve passes and was consistanly 2.0 60' which bothered me but I just couldn't get lower with the condition of the track and my street tires. I wasn't doing any burnouts, just a quick cleaning of the tires and then staging.

Not sure if the 63's react the same but I know when drag racing in the 55's you should raise the car up and be in comfort mode setting..... helps with the launch

I personally don't drive in any mode but comfort. I just need traction coming out of the hole whether that’s better tires or better track prep, and realistically it's probably both.

I'd try both ways a few times, I didn't lose any traction keeping it a regula height, and picked a mile per hour. Not sure but I read somewhere the car hesitates a bit when lowering (around 70) and o guess is that much less aerodynamic in general

it's possible. check out the e63 times on dragtimes. there are a dozen or so that have run faster than 12.4 and almost everyone says they are stock. they also were all run from october to march which is much better air temperature then the summer months we’re in now.

When my car was 100% stock (yes including tires), my car has hit 12.20s a few times and even 12.30s at Fontana (known to be the worst track in California).

My car has hit 12.1 two times (everything was stock except I switched from continental tires to PS2s and went 275 in the rear instead of 265).

Trap speeds have been all over the place: 114 to almost 119 mph...

I currently hold the record for the fastest trap speed (stock) but I never uploaded my slips to dragtimes because Sacramento Raceway's trap speeds were not accurate and was found later to have been reporting up to 3 mph more than actual speed. I did however post them here somewhere just for fun.

My car is nothing compared to the King of E63's car though.... his name is oldgixxer. His E63 hit 11.9 @ 118 mph all stock and on stock tires.....

He cheated though*.... you have to read the fine print to know how

*Fine Print: he used a stock baby seat to boost performance

I've gotten a 1.89 as my best 60' so far, may toy with slightly less tire pressure, but on street radials i dont think it helps a whole lot.

My current approach is
-Sport transmission mode, bump the shifter over so its already in 1st
-suspension regular (NOT RAISED) on comfort mode,
-traction control OFF
-tires inflated regularly (Potenza R050a, what it came with) 41-43 up front, 43-45 in the back,
-just give them a quick spin to clean em off, add a bit of heat.

I'll only power brake to MAYBE 1000 rpm, just take the slack out really, then on the launch you have to (even on the 63s with a measly 465lb./ft of torque) roll into it, if you dump it as quick as you can you'll spin. I mean get your foot on down but just a little slower than ASAP, then just hang on and finish up your 12sec. pass

they are getting decent 60's in much cooler temps. look at dragtimes. everyones who uploaded their times ran from november to march. oldgixxzer ran his 11.9x with a 1.83 60' in fourty degree weather.

I see ~~~ Would you happen to know if crappy CA gas does effect the record?

For example I use 91 when I'm at the street , race gas pump will not fit

with my car and I had no option but to use 91 .

mb_forever lives and runs out in california. he has two of the 63 entries on dragtimes. maybe he will chime in and say what fuel he was using.

couldn't octane booster help raise the points a little if needed?

Sorry for the late response....

Yes I've ran all my fastest times in California.... The trick is always try to use the track at the right time in the year

Regarding the fuel, I usually use 4 gallons of 91 and mix 2 gallons of VP MS109. There were a couple of times where I used just 91 octane because I couldn't get race gas, but most of the time I mixed 91 with MS100, MS103, or MS109. I figured it's that's the least I could do since we were pushing the cars a little harder than usual on those days
