My buddy has some coolant for his Audi that I was wondering if I could use so I don't have to goto the stealership. Is this ok?

I was curious and poked around the web for a few minutes and seems in 96 and from 06 up Audi used some special coolant that doesn't seem to be recommended for Mercedes anywhere I have looked.

Here is one example that shows such. It's not 100% but I would def get some solid info before throwing it in. There are 3 different types of coolant on the market.

Darn, I'm not going to take any chances but was just hoping I could top off my coolant because I moved to a house with a steep driveway and the coolant warning comes on a lot because of the driveway incline.

What's the average price at the dealer for a jug of Mercedes coolant?

Zerex G05 from a parts store will save you a good bit of money. NAPA and Carquest seem to stock it usually.
