New mods + wheels
Hey guys thought id make my own thread to ***** my car out.
Anyways im pretty proud of it now, finally starting to get happy with the appearance of it.
Picked it up about 4 months ago, bone stock with 60K miles on it.
Recently i installed the Needswings cold air intake and the forgestar f14's. Probably my two favourite mods as of yet.
Intake sounds pretty sweet, supercharger whine is definately audible inside, more so with the windows closed oddly enough. I have a video of a tunnel run with the windows down, you can hear it, keep in mind thats stock pulley, and no hood insulation or any hood pieces removed. I actually removed the cowl today and the SC whine is significantly louder, apparently its pretty loud from the outside.
Noticed a decent butt dyno gain, no dyno gains, IAT's seem to be down about 2-3C not a huge difference. I read one guy with an SL55 picked up 1psi of boost with the intake, ive yet to hook up a boost gauge and find out but even if i dont im still happy. Its been hard to monitor IAT's because the ambient temp is about 10C hotter than last week. once the temps drop ill be able to find out for sure.
Ive been bit by the mod bug again, i promised myself i wouldnt do anything else til i finish my last year of school, so next year ill begin the real mods; headers, pulley, TB, fuel rail + bigger injectors, trunk tank + HE![Smilie](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
Anyways here are a few pics, hope you guys like it!

The engine cover should be removed, i just put it back on for now, still kinda fits, ill probably just take it off though.

Looking clean! ![thumbs](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/thumbsup.gif)
Your Needswings intake looks awesome! I've definitely been holding off on this intake kit due to its cost, but now you've tempted me again to reconsider given that you've confirmed the audible increase of the S/C whine, LOL!! Definitely post some vids!
