Any AMG owners in the Central VA area? I've seen a couple around, but didn't know if anyone ever went to the track or did much else as an enthusiast (I'd LOVE to race something besides a damn mustang GT)

Where's MIR? I've only ever gone to VA. Motorsports Park in Petersburg (Dinwiddie) which is a half hour south of here. I don't count my recent trip to Richmond Dragway as an actual occurrance, as I'm not positive that's an actual track, or their timing is much more than a stopwatch.

I'd love to go somewhere with another Mercedes around though, I've been getting snickered at all alone so far, till i make a pass of course

Haha, this reminds me the other day when my neighbor was talking to me about my car... He mentioned that he had a C-Class AMG before. I asked which one and he replied "C230 AMG".

I see it in my office parking lot most saturdays, I want to park beside him and just wait around and walk out when I see the guy leaving, see if I can strike up a conversation, maybe I've been missing out on an entire AMG segment this whole time

He probably knows the guy with the CLS500 AMG I saw the other day, too.

I guess when someone wrecks a real AMG the first things to go in the junkyard are the badges

Just sold my S65 and I never saw another AMG at Richmond or VA Motorsports Park. MIRis the place to go if you want to see other AMGs. It was fun to run an 11.5-11.6 and see people's reaction to this big sedan running trap speeds in the 125mph range.

The only one in NoVA that i have heard of is Old Dominion Dragstrip (http://www.olddominionspeedway.com/O...trip_Main.html)

The only tracks close by is either Summit Point, and Maryland International Raceway. Oh, and their is a dragstrip in Manassas.
