The PLM headers have a "Make Offer" button. You can pick these up on ebay for $400-$500. When I bought mine, I offered $450 (new) and it was accepted.
Although these headers are thin wall, and can crack, I had very good luck with them. I broke the driver side, and had it welded, but after that, it was fine.
This is a very economical upgrade from stock, but not a solution for a high end mods car.
With PLM's and cats, I ran 11.41 at Famoso, which is still my PB. Dyno at OE Tuning was at 470 (PLM Headers, Heat Exchanger, 180 Pulley) I did all three of those mods at the same time, so I don't know how much the headers gave me, but I estimate 30-40. For someone just starting to mod, or just wants a little more, it is cheap HP

You do not need a retune for them to work. You will be totally safe. I was reassured that by Cory from kleemann, after installing my kleemann's. However to take full advantage, a tune will get you there.
