FTP H/E Installed *pix*
Called out our boy Steve @ Fab Tech Performance and had him crank out a heat exchanger for me. Some minor shipping problems but he handled it like a scholar and took care of it asap. Was worth the wait dude this thing is badass
Very happy with it! The brackets needed to be trimmed just a bit, and the lower I/C pump hose needed to be replaced by a longer one. And I guess most guys zip tie the engine oil cooler behind the H/E and sinch it up against the condensor, but I descided to silicone it right under the H/E, turned out bad to the ****en bone ![action](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/action1.gif)

+1, stock one looks like a piece of cardboard compared to brick... And at such a great price.. Hopefully when I get some extra cash I can get around to this. are there instructions included?

Interesting that there exist no hard hook-up for the cooler on the bottom. Gluing it is not my thing. Looks good otherwise, thanks for posting.

LOL! Now I'm going to go home and stick a brick under there so I too can buldge. I want to be cool like that. That cracked me up.

Is there a way to install this without the bulge? My carbon lip kinda gets in the way of that, if I'm understanding the install correctly.

Looks great, I am on the verge of pulling the trigger on one of these. However, the only thing that's stopping me is how much this unit resembles the $179 3.5" Frozen Boost core(down to the weld patterns and the NPT fittings), which AFAIK is a 15 pound air/air intercooler core modified for H/E use. Hopefully I am mistaken. Does anyone have any more background/details about this H/E?

I haven't seen the PLM in person, but from the specs - the FT-P HE is a MONSTER in comparison - and VERY well built! Best bang for the buck HE out there IMHO (that's why I bought it) and Steve is PHENOMENAL for customer service!

also, here's a comparison of popular HEs for our cars http://bit.ly/NuPWIN

Not knocking the FTP product in any way, the customer service so far has been superb. Just trying to dot my I's before I make the purchase.
