cigarette Lighter issues need help
Hi guys having electrical issues in 07 e63 amg the other day i was running the spare tire compressor to fill up my tires/and all the sudden the compressor stop working and had to connect to the trunk outlet cause the front socket stop working/not even the radar dector plug in works so I check the fuse panel to see if i had blown the fuse the the fuse was OK. So now iam scratching my head! I wanted to disassemble the front cigarette lighter socket but dont know how to take it apart to check if there is a cable loose or maybe burn out. If any ne could help me out it would be appreciated thank you in advance!

Although I have an E55, I have had similar problems were I would plug the compressor in then have to wiggle the plug to get it working. Its worth a shot if all else fails.

One of my coworkers was having a similar problem on his wife's E class. His issue turned out to be that he wasn't fixing the right fuse. His problem were fuses 34 and 35 under the hood on the driver's side. The neat feature he found out in the process is that there are two positions for the cigarette lighter fuses. On makes them always on and the other makes it switched with the ignition.
