Can the deal reset the ecu?

Followed the sneaky ecu reset thread for years. Not sure if it has been asked there, but i was wondering - can the dealer reset the ecu as well?

Are you saying that the dealer could, whether accidently or on-purpose, reset my ECU back to stock after I had it tuned?

I'm referring to the actual ECU programming and not the constantly changing adaptations.

Thx. Just curious.

I've been nursing a broken arm for a few weeks and not driving agressively (actually, rather passively). Car has an oil service due soon, and wondered if it was worth asking to reset ECU to get past the "learned" passive behavior sooner.
