I might just do this too, lots of searches shows people have "dipped" their entire car and seeing pictures of it months later, still looks superb. But, The E55 would look better, I would do white matte plasti dip for the whole car, then go ove the emblems and window trim black matte. I think it would look amazing

That's exactly what I was thinking.. matte white E55.. my car already has pano roof! Looks like white with pano is definitely do-able now!

Yes...if you want it to look semi-decent, you have to go this route and not use rattle cans. If you rattle can it, it's almost a guarantee it will look like poop.

THIS! My friend did just his emblems and his plastic door trims with plasti dip. Emblems look great, but on bigger surface areas, it looks like ****.. lots of runs and some bubbles. and poor adhesion on some spots, even after a cleaning with mild rubbing alcohol. 100% go with the spay gun! makes worlds of difference, and makes it easier to peel off in the future.

Soooo....what about all of the stuff that makes its way into the door jambs, trunk jambs, and other small nooks and crannies? That would have to be a HUGE pain to pick all of those little bits out.

I thought this too, but when there's over spray into the cracks, just running your finger over it as you would to try and get dried caulk off your hands takes most of it off. a little more pressure is required for other harder to reach areas.

This has all types of applications. Would be a good clear bra type application on the bottom of the car and the bumper. Spray on a remove when needed.

I think doing a color change with this stuff will be a complete PITA to remove all the lil spots of plastidip that will inevitably end up in 52,000 places you never thought of when taping the car. Also you now have different color door jambs, under the trunk lid, etc etc etc
I could see myself trying this to cover up some rust on the bottom of the door of my dually though. Lots of the dodge guys are paying to have bed liner sprayed around the bottoms of the trucks where they like to rust - I'll just keep covering it up and pretend its not there till I sell it in a year or so. lol

I looked at both plasti dip and vinyl 3m wrap. In the end I chose to wrap after talking with numerous custom shops that do both.
Saw 2 cars side by side... one done with vinyl wrap and one plasti dip. In this case you get what you pay 4.

but my question is....dows tge front bumper hold up? seems like the only place to worry about.
And touchless washes will be no problem for this, my wheels went through many, and even powrer washers at detail shops.

planning to touch up rear bumper after a little scrape. Plasti dip is hard to take of tho because if you get gas on it, it will stain the color. Need to touch up under gas door too...hand wash only for me
