I second your concern and am not sure it is a good thing to run Methanol or Methanol/water through the supercharger. I have run Meth and meth/water on turbo'd cars and it is definitely corrosive . Amazing to hear the IATs are so low. I have been considering running straight water for cylinder temperature spikes, but the meth would do wonders for the IATs. Decisions decisions...

Bump for a good kit at a great price...

I've ran meth pre supercharger and post on a whipple and I run a 6pgh nozzle pre turbo(yes spraying into the impeller) and 2 nozzles (14gph and 11gph) into the manifold on my diesel truck. I see a huge difference when the pre turbo system comes above 40psi and on my cobra I never had a problem running pre supercharger. I think the only problem you would have on these cars is the setup of the stock intercooler having to force the air thru and back up. I wouldn't run 100% meth though ever.

I must be lucky because I haven't had any problems running meth for years on my truck and even spray it into the turbo with no problems. I have a turbo timer that waits until oil temp/EGT temp is down to 300 so maybe that helps get any left over methanol out

Steve, why not 100% meth bro? When Jason from BIP was up at MIR a couple weeks ago, there was a couple 8 second cars there, and big users of meth. They swore by using 100% from VP.

I guess that been their race car, it certainly is setup differently than a daily E55.

100% meth is just adding additional fuel and dosent cool as well as having some distilled water in it and I don't think would be good for a street car myself but a race car I don't see a problem with it. The pro mod guys running 1400-2500hp worth of nitrous are actually using water injection now and seeing up to a tenth gain out of it and actually saving parts. I wouldn't use VP M5 if I was using straight meth though unless the pump is ok for that application. I found out the old pump I had on my truck wasn't liking the M5 methanol although they said it would be fine. I changed pumps to a 1600psi pump from Haldex and loving it now.

A few things from folks that have run water and meth for many years :
(1) Use M1 methanol
(2) Spraying 100% water helps temperature spikes and knock prevention - I have had very good results with this & e85 or race fuel
(3) From my experience, I have never had different results with 50% distilled water & 50% M1 vs. 100% M1 - the benefit of adding the 50% water is reduced cost and reduced change of explosion
