Check out through Carfax just where the came from originally or previously, I would agree with the amgspecialist that you have the winter tire option selected. Word of advise, get used to driving the car before you let the car do the driving. 100mph is easy to do, controlling an issue at 100 mph is slightly different.

Based on the OP's state of mind 2 years ago when this thread was relevant, I would say he:
A. Got it solved and is living happily above 100 mph
B. Rammed his head into a wall 4 times in rapid succession and no longer needs his limiter fixed.
Necrobump!

Old threads are always relevant for people searching for solutions to their problems. Thanks for the input, if it didn't help the OP, it may help someone in the future.

N00bs don't use the search function anyway.....
They just create an account and immediately start asking questions like:
"What are the common issues on an E55?"
Or
"My car seems to lose power when it gets hot, any ideas?"
Sound familiar?

Yes, I get grumpy sometimes.....
Some people act like there was no internet prior their recent "discovery" of the E55 platform.... Or worse yet, they know the answers are here but are just too lazy to search and just want someone else to spoon-feed them the info.
