I thought about this 17 years ago, but had no idea how to actually make it work. So...I guess you stole it from me and they stole it from you. Is that how it works?

That's funny/ironic you should post this up. I contacted E.A.T. a few days ago to get this done on my CL. I've always wanted this tint since I saw it on the Maybach. I should have it installed in a little over a month/month and a half. With all the research, this company seems to be the best aftermarket place that does it. I'm going to Malibu, California (for the first time) Aug 16-21. As soon as I get back, I'm getting this done on all the side windows

There are demos back to 2010, but no pricing anywhere. Looks like it is in the glass (Between two thin panes) which means each window would need to be replaced. I would guess 5 windows would be $10K +...

I distribute this type of film. The film come in various colors and is dimmable. The film is quite thick, which makes application to cars a bit harder. We have done a Rolls Royce Baby Phantom in Asia not too long ago. The stuff is pricey, but its great for storefront advertisement especially when you pair it with a projector, and some interactive software.

Definitely, should look really cool IMO! Can't wait to see people's reactions when I flick the tint switch in traffic Everyone's gonna go lol
desired_speeds - How long does this tint last? A company can say anything to sell their product, but from first-hand experience, how long can I expect this tint to have an expectancy of?

It lasts 10 years or more depending on how much you use it. It's clear when its turned on and opaque when off. It can also be reapplied around 6-7 times if applied and removed using the correct procedures.

$80 sq/ft for the standard creme color. $95/sq ft for other colors such as charcoal, green, red, etc. Depending on the size of the car's windows, it should be $1000 and up for the standard materiasl alone not including windshield. Aside from the tint film installation fees, dc/av convertor, dimmer, etc are all extra.

If this could be done anywhere near $1000 I know several people that would probably do it.

that this timt place isnt using the expensive corporate building stuff. I believe they have a much more cost effective method.
someone needs to call and get a quote
And I dono why you would want the opaque version. im talking about the one that goes from light to dark tint and visa versa.

I'm going get the the blue, almost sapphire, glass that had the dimmer and not the instant tint. The tint formed instead of flicked. Which is great, because that color will match my rear and front windshields really nice. My CL has that really blue/purple factory color to the glass. I got the windshield and rear glass tinted very dark so now it has that sapphire look. I always wanted to get my side windows the same as the front in rear. The sapphire color makes it so reflective and impossible to see anything inside at all lol. This tint is gonna be so cool. I showed some of my friends the video and they were all amazed
