Weird issue with loss of power / steering wheel unresponsive

Weird issue with loss of power / steering wheel unresponsive
Occasionally have a weird issue. Has happened a few times before. When going thru a circular driveway (like a bank drive thru) I don't go incredibly fast maybe 20-25 miles an hour... When leaving and giving the car gas Sometimes the rpm's will drop, Engine will hesitate (loss of power) And most importantly the steering wheel Will be unresponsive for a split second. This of course causes me to turn sharp and hard in order to avoid hitting the curb. This is very brief but it's Still very noticeable and causes concern for me. Also seems odd for a car with no power steering pump. Any ideas fellas ?
