96K, FULLY LOADED, 2005, $21K.... WORTH IT?

I all seriousness, almost 100k miles with no idea who drove it or how, there are a lot of question marks and you'd better have money set aside for the inevitable issues.
If the car has been well cared for that is the most important factor. Look at the service records and the condition of the car, if those items check out, get a PPI and have the compression checked.
Getting a ~$90K car for $21K that won't depreciate much more seems like a smart decision to me (as long as you can afford unexpected maintenance items)....
A few problems have a rose but nothing too huge in my book. I did have the tranny front pump spin the bearing, a semi common problem. And last week the balancer on my crank pulley went out. Yes the tranny fix was $2k and the pulley is going to cost me $1k or so but I knew going into it I might run into a few problems.

If the car is really clean and well maintained, that is a fair price.
My neighbor sold a very basic, well cared for 05 e55, for $24K with 98K miles and it needed some TLC (tires, car dings, interior scratches, etc.) - all normal for a car with mileage....

Well, actually I was.....found the deal of a lifetime...but if you are patient the deals are out there. Saw another 89k E55, think it was a 2004 sell locally (through ebay) for 15-16k...a few months back. But, I am in Florida and guessing prices here are a bit lower than say, NY or Cali....E55's around here with that type of mileage sit for months at anything over $20k...

The Best of Mercedes & AMG
I've been trying to figure out how to come up with an extra $18k so I could have one to pamper and one to modify heavily and run hard.

I apreciate everyones opinions and thoughts... The mileage isnt my main concern.. It was the price... Just making sure i wasnt over paying...
At the end of the day id rather a fully loaded e55 with high mileage.. Than a e55 with less options and lower mileage...i take care of all my cars and i dont put much mileage on them.. Looking up at my roof and seeing pano, makes me happier than seeing low miles on my dash board... The e55 with 63k is something ill be looking at.. Other than that, for the price, much others dont compare
I all ready have a e46 m3... I bought it 1 1/2 years ago with 99,600k now it has 104,400... That is going to be my car for power mods... The e55 i want to keep it mechanically stock besides an exhaust..So power goodies dont interest me

Well the fact being that ive already spent 10,000 under the hood of my m3 i have no choice... Besides its more of the experience while driving for me... 6 speed, high reving, handling etc... The m3 suits my needs... Im looking for something to replace my jeep srt8 and the e55 is that. Auto, beasty, 4 doors, air suspension, etc...

When I was looking for an E55 I let the car speak for itself, meaning if it looked like crap it means it wasn't taken care of both cosmetically and mechanically.
I wanted lower milage, and options, so I shopped and shopped.
And I would have put the $10K of Mods into the E55 before the M3, but thats me.
Good luck
