We started a build last week that we are going to be documenting here in the W211 E55 section since most of the speed freaks reside here
It will also be stationed in the G55 section since it is specific to that vehicle.
The Subject:
G55 AMG with M113K motor will receive the following modifications by BIP:

G55 AMG with M113K motor will receive the following modifications by BIP:
- BIP Sleeved block
- Forged Ross Pistons
- Kleeman cams
- BIP Ported and Polished Heads
- BIP Port matched runners
- MBH Headers
- 195mm ASP Pulley kit
- 82mm Throttle body kit
- BIP Split cooling system with custom aluminum expansion water tank mounted in the engine bay
- Aftermarket fueling with fuel pressure port
- BIP tuning by TONY LAWSHEE

Yes he is a local customer of ours. I believe there was a elongated period of time between oil changes, and opted for an all out build this time round.

Arguing opinions isn't going to get us anywhere. 
However, for the sake of an answer....I prefer an X5M, 1st gen SRT Jeep or even an LM002, if you want to go wild. I just think the G-class is way too boxy and utilitarian. It's body has no soul. It's a crate on wheels.

No SUV will ever be uglier than a Pontiac Aztek, if you can call it an SUV.
However, for the sake of an answer....I prefer an X5M, 1st gen SRT Jeep or even an LM002, if you want to go wild. I just think the G-class is way too boxy and utilitarian. It's body has no soul. It's a crate on wheels.

Just to clarify, don't get my opinion of it's styling confused with how it drives or functions. That's a completely different subject.
I never thought about owning one either, until I got to ride in one. Compared to the rest of the performance SUV market, it was good "cheap" fun.

Rarely do people actually off-road these things, why risk the money when a cheap crappy Landcruiser will go where none of these will.
