lol. all I'm saying is 2/10's in the 1/4 is all driver. thats the difference between a 1.9 and a 1.8 60'.

this isn't ANYTHING against TTM. proceed with the group buy.

ill be ordering a heat exchanger from them shortly

Actually Jake from EC made a post about the parts and showed an increase in airflow.....

Actually if I had to do it all over, I would have done things in this order :

(1) split cooling - dedicated X gallons
(2) headers - I still have not done this but need to
(3) Killer Chiller (KC) or larger heat exchanger
(4) OBD2 logger & wideband
(5) pulley & tune & tcu tune
(6) LSD

I would recommend keeping the stock heat exchanger if you are going the KC route - which will keep your IATs crazy low (lower than any heat exchanger on the market).

These are not going to do a lot in first 60'. PS, the guys here are putting down 1.5X sec 60' consistently. My best is 1.66, but that was with pulley and shorty headers only....

The advantage is at the top of a 1320 run. When you are doing 128+.. The extra air could provide just enough to make an 11.0 a 10.8. There are a LOT of guys that would take that 2/10 ALL DAY LONG

I'm just getting them 'cause they look cool

Quote: pardon my ignorance but i checked the link in your sig and the only "data" i saw was that the M5 guys gained 2/10s in the 1/4. you do know M5's are naturally aspirated and we are not? we have a supercharger literally vacuuming air like crazy whereas naturally aspirated cars are just that, they rely on the natural aspiration of a combustion engine. i could see how these could produce a "ram air" effect (even though I'm doubtful) on an NA car, but on our cars there is a supercharger giving up a super ram air effect. if anything its probably the removal of the restrictive plastic shroud which allows for the less restrictive intake.

believe me I'm all for more power, if someone can show me actual proof that these make power you CAN count me in on the GB.
did you see this in the first post?

Quote:
and I did some REALLY basic averaging with the numbers...

MAF measurements are (lb/min)(Y)
MAP measurements are (g/s) (Y)
Pressure measurements are (inHg) (Y)

before:
MAF 1.10 - 56.70
MAP 10.55 - 381.41
Press. 5.91 - 54.93

after:
MAF 1.24 - 59.45
MAP 12.27 - 398.28
Press. 5.91 - 54.63

MAF increase 4.63%
MAP increase 4.24%
Press difference: .55% reduction
it shows that there is increased flow and reduced pressure to add that air flow

I wonder how these would look in silver behind the grille? I guess black is the safe bet for a black car, but silver might look tough too.

Thanks Bramage. Could you actually change me from Black to YELLOW? I am thinking that black lettering would look really nice but is it just normal decal that can be peeled off if I don't like it?

OK Bruce, we are ready !!

(As soon as Bruce gets build info he will post up, and we can pay. I suspect he will have 25 built, so we have about 7 spots if anyone wants in prior to the cut off)
