just deleted the resonator on my E63, couple questions
hey guys, i just picked up this 07' E63 a few weeks ago and i love it. yesterday i deleted the resonators and replaced them with aluminum pipes. sounds great, but when i get off the freeway or slow down after going 40+ mph, i get a few "pops" out of the exhaust. like 2-3 of them maybe. they are not loud either. it has only done it twice since i did the resonator delete yesterday. is it anything i should be concerned about? or is it normal?

Great job on the car. I had MBH headers installed, removed cats and resonators and my car makes those popping sounds anytime I decelerate.
It can be annoying to some, but I love the sound. Google Pagani 760RS where the editor of EVO magazine takes the car for a spin up in the hills of Italy and listen to that AMG V12 pop all over the place !!!

thank you for the quick reply! i've done quite a few things to it already (i'll post a thread with pics soon) like get a new front bumper since the old one was pretty messed up and got smoked side markers, LED license plate lights, tinted windows. small things. glad to hear the popping is no problem though. i was worried that there wasn't enough back pressure going back into the engine. while you're here, can you post some pics of your black grille and closer pics of the fog lights blacked out.

Mine did the same thing, and I loved it. Forced me to drive more like an adult when I had my mom or customers in the car that I didn't want to frighten!

is that the same sequence as the w203? key to on position, hold gas pedal all the way down for 8-10 seconds, take out key, take foot off gas?
i'll take some GoPro vids soon and put them on youtube. it sounds mean! night and day difference in sound from my C55 with resonator delete.
