water temps.

I was wondering if any of you monitor your intercooler water temps. Split system is ok but no killer chillers or with ice. I wanted to know at cruise and idling. I recently added a water temp sensor to my car and am trying to evaluate what it should be or if I have room to improve. I run about 10degrees above ambient water temps at cruise and the strangest thing is that the temp goes up at a stop light. I have my fan on all the time and I have turned the fan off and temps do not raise as fast at a light. I think that I might be pulling hot air back around the radiator when stopped.

yup, I'm usually 10-15 off ambient and it will go up at the light - stagnant air vs air flowing over the heat exchanger
