Supercharger Squeak/Chirp

I have noticed a squeak/chirp when my supercharger engages and have been doing tons of research on the topic. I have notice that people are replacing the bearing alone and others are replacing the entire clutch w/ bearing. Can someone please give me a definite answer. There is a significant cost difference and would like to be sure.

Thanks in advance!

Changing the bearing won't alleviate the chirp. Cleaning both contact surfaces with some emory cloth will, but expect it to come back sooner or later.

The noise doesn't bother me, but the 'on' 'off' engagement does. I hate it.

Causes no harm, why worry? Does it engage and slam you in your seat? If yes, you are good to go.

I would suggest changing the supercharger Mobil Jet oil every 50k miles no matter what the conventional MBUSA wisdom is.

This is one example where it's good to hear a chirp coming from your engine bay.

How can I do this? I asked the dealer, and the service adviser mentioned that he could not find any information on it.

How do we make the whine louder! Aftermarket POD filter? Recommendations?

/\ Seems some people will pull the insulation off of the hood, and remove the engine covers.

Cheers, I'll give that a shot there must be other ways to get that whine louder though? Surely an aftermarket intake would make it scream?
