Its finally here
Well yesterday I collected my new baby, and for the first time the baby is a Mercedes Benz. Having usually purchased only BMWs previously I found a complete contrast between the two brands.
Firstly build quality; I always thought of BMW having an exceptional level of build quality however once I stepped into the E55 and played around with the touch gear it felt even more strongly put together what a pleasant surprise. Also even with the flagship BMWs as I have personally experienced there are on some occassions problems with rattles, thus on the way home from the dealership I turned off the radio and ac to determine any noises and guess what NO NOISES!
Styling; I love it understated and only people who know what to look for can determine what lies beneath
, I personally love the interior colour as it breaks up the black well. One thing is planned is exterior door handle lighting by Brabus.
Performance - Not until 1000 miles I can unleash the beast, however one has to keep their eyes on the speedo as it is quite deceptive on how fast you are actually travelling
. Compared to the SL 55 AMG the exhaust note is slightly auiter which suits this car well, may look into the possability of adopting the same note as the SL 55 AMG.
Great car............might not go back to BMW (perhaps until my new M5 comes)

Manoj - congrats on a beautiful ride!! I still have to wait 3 months or so for my new baby! As for the 19" wheels, check out this forum as many owners have them and have posted pics and tire sizes. Personally, I like the AMG IV 19" wheels which look like yours but are 2 piece. Look for kaneman's pics. mp
