I'm a little disappointed with new tires (supersports). It seems traction from the dig is not as good. Is it me or does anyone else feel the same way?

I love my PSS tyres.
Are you sure you have not over inflated them. They do need a few hundred miles to break in properly, but after that they are very good.
The only thing better will be semi slicks.

I've had 4 sets of PSS, 3 on my audi and the current set on my e55. Love em. Gone through many other tire brands and these outperform and last a bit longer.

After a lot of back and forth and hours of reading I picked up a set of super sports myself. Should be here next Wednesday.
Tirecrawler.com has the best prices, free delivery, and $70 rebate if you buy 4 right now. Under $900 for 4 to my door after rebates. Couldn't say no.
95% of reviews on these that I could find said they loved them, best street tire ever, etc. etc.

PSS vs. PS2
I put PS2's on my E63 in 2009 just after I bought it. Loved them. However, I needed new rears about every 5K miles, and they would not be as sticky after a single Summer season.
Fast forward to 2012, my fronts were finally shot (inner tread only due to negative camber), and the 2nd replacement set of rears were also done.
Replaced all four with New PSS in May. As of today when I washed the car, fronts are as new, rears show virtually no wear after 3K miles. They track and handle every bit as good as PS2 did, WOT traction is better, rears have over 1 inch wider tread patch vs. PS2 in stock 265 size.
IMO PSS is a next gen tire, better across the board than PS2, and they are also about 40% less expensive than PS2 was. I am 100% satisfied to date.
