This is what the ad says this morning :

FTP**ENGINE BAY Mounted I/C Tanks**CLICK**
Benefits:
the Fabtech-Performance engine bay mounted intercooler tank is the first tank available in the marketplace for the E55 AMG platform. this tank replaces the cabin filter box, Bolts into the factory location without modfication and successfully lowers your intake air temps by adding extra volume to the system, and splits the supercharger to its own circuit so it does not mix with 190 degree engine coolant. this tank will release your amgs true potential!!

Includes:
-Lifetime warranty FTP engine bay mounted 2 GALLON tank
-All lines and fittings needed for install (some installs may require additional parts based on how your pump is mounted)
-Stainless worm clamps
-Install guide

Extras:
-In line quick turn drain valve (for ice down)
-Custom Cabin Filter and CNC'D mounting bracket

**Your Factory Plastic Cabin Filter Box will need trimmed for better fitment if you do not purchase the Laser cut FTP flange**

As you can clearly see :

(1) NO WHERE DOES IT STATE THAT YOU NEED TO REMOVE OR CUT YOUR RAIN GUTTER TO MAKE THIS FIT.
(2) THE CABIN FILTER WAS DESCRIBED AS A TRUE CABIN FILTER, NOT SOME HAND CUT PIECE OF GAUZE OR FABRIC. IT WILL NOT FILTER ODORS (LIKE THE OEM FILTER) AND I HIGHLY DOUBT IT WILL FILTER DUST (BUT I HAVE NOT TESTED IT).
(3) THE PICTURE CLEARLY SHOWS METAL FITTINGS ON THE TANK VS. THE PLASTIC ONES IN MY KIT.

I WILL JUST LET MY CREDIT CARD COMPANY TELL ME WHAT TO DO NEXT ....THANK GOD I SPEND A TON WITH THEM EACH MONTH AND THEY ARE SO GOOD ABOUT PROTECTING THEIR MEMBERS.

Good for you man...
I hope it works out for you.
I still cant get over the 30% restocking fee.

Currently Fabtechs offerings are:
  • Fuel Rail and Injectors................Copy from TTM
  • Engine Mounted IC Tank.............Copy from Dad's/Tbal's setup
  • Beast Tubes.............................Copy from Mike of Carbon Creations
  • Scoops....................................Copy from TTM

Don't forget the drag radial/CLK rim setup............thats a original idea.

Didnt Samsung lose a court battle
and please tell me what it was for?

Look at my list above.
What about the people that put the R&D into it originally

You don't know the countless times I have heard Fabtech try to buy someone else's products and what for? Other vendors wont sell to him because they know.

Seriously Toad this doesn't concern you
You painted a very liberal brush over the situation.

LOL I'm hardly liberal... I think most who have a whole CF intake and tubes would appreciate the finished CF look of the scoops. But to each his own, we have trolls all over now - just bashing the hell out of FT-P - with NO involvement.

Steve was a class act when I got my Heat Exchanger - covered my issues, and took care of things. He called me about 20 times to resolve it. But then again, maybe I'm easier to work with?

Yes it sucks about the issue at hand... I'm not negating that at all.

Lowering prices, giving more options - a car is a car, do you expect each vendor to create a new car?

look - it's a wheel! OMG you copied it!

Toadster you could cut a peice of 3M Dinoc and clearcoat your exisiting scoops.
The pic clearly shows one peice of carbon......one

If the peice was entirely wrapped out of carbon...........okay
But the thing is a exact copy.....
No APPLE VS SAMSUNG

This is APPLE VS Fake APPLE Products.

Thanks....

Thanks to everyone that has been supportive and helpful through this process.

I want to be clear - my intentions were and still are, to do a thorough review of the kit. I had hoped to not only put together a very thorough how to, but also show hard data (before and after) for other potential buyers. Unfortunately the kit, as currently designed, requires the rain gutter to be removed, which I am not willing to do. As such I am hoping to return the kit and get my money back.

Chris waiting for you to send the tank back for a refund. So you can stop telling members I'am not working with you to get you a refund, and make it seem like your a victim. You are the only person delaying the Refund process.

Keep in mind the G/B Thread Stated no refunds all sales are final. I'am just tired of hearing you say it does not fit. Video will come upon your return of the tank fitted and working as it should. G/L with your new tank solution. Hopefully you don't get called out for copying a "patented" "innovated" rectangular aluminum box. LOL

Steve - Per my voicemail, email, and PMs, I will not pay to ship the kit back to you, nor will I accept a 30% restocking fee.

I have been very clear and honest in this thread and stated what you told me. The delay in returning the product is with you as you want me to accept a return shipping fee and a restocking fee, which I won't accept. I paid for a product and you can either deliver that product or refund my money.

As for copying someone's work, I am not really sure what you are referring to. I have not even begun to look at my options, but my plan was to just have a local business mold a tank in the spare tire. If you know of a company that already sells a tank like this, please let me know as I would gladly pay someone to do the legwork and am not into copying other's stuff.

Cheers !
