Poorer Fuel Economy After Tune?

I have had my Eurocharged tune since January and I love it! The only thing I have noticed is that my fuel economy has dropped off since the tune. Yes, I know that I am more prone to romping on it. Even when I baby it, however, it seems that my mileage is around 2-3 MPGs lower than they were pre-tune.

Has anyone else experienced this from a tune? From what I have heard from others, their fuel economy increased.

I drove to CA and was excited that I had seen 17.2 after about 450 miles lol

My average since I've owned it is 13.4 hahahahahahaha After I get the tune done, I HOPE it doesn't go lower than that, eek.

Lead foot in the first few weeks to enjoy the new found power is usually what leads to worst MPG, after you settle back in your normal driving patterns MPG should go back up. That's what happened to me and others.

Right, except if you look at my initial post, it has been eight months. After 'relaxed' driving, it has not settled to what it was prior. Could this be a sign of a rich tune? If this is normal, that's fine. I just want to make sure it is

Mpg's should go up, as a tune usually leans the car out

do you drive in C, S or M?

I drive in S all the time, I find that when in C - I tend to give it more gas to get going...

MPG will go up as stated, as the fuel mixture will be leaned. I would suggest clearing the adaptations to see if that corrects any issues you may have. The only time MPG goes down, is from right foot syndrome that is usually caused post tune..

not to thread jack, but im kinda curious what people see for mpg's. ive had my car for a few months now, and usually have no problem keeping it around 14.5-15.5mpg around town and about 21 on the through way. hell i even managed to get it to read 23.5 mpg the one day

plus the fact that less power (i.e. gas) is needed to move the car along

on my 4 mile trip to work, few stoplights, i get around 15-15.5, highway usually up to 21ish, and ONCE i got it to say 25 (reset once on highway cruising at 62, took about an hour to climb that high)

all about the smiles per gallon

I have two Eurocharged tunes, an S65 and an SL600. Both have increased fuel mileage in expressway driving. At a steady 75 to 80 the S65 is 18.5 and the SL600 is 22 MPG.
In local driving I have seen no change in fuel consumption. These are both BT's, the supercharged engines could respond differently to a tune.

My perception is that MPGs dropped after the EC dyno tune from maybe three years ago. It could be my previous tune was a bit on the lean side though.

Based on ~10K miles of tracking on Fuelly.com , the difference between tune vs. retune vs. untuned is nearly negligible. I'm talking < 2mpg.
