Hell yes they are going to spend that. With the potential of 800+whp (with motor built obviously) why not? Yes it is more than a Cobra Mustang upgrade but a much more limited market and you are obviously going to get slightly higher "tax" due to what you are driving.

It is $5500 for a 2.9 liter whipple upgrade for a Terminator so we are not talking huge amounts more and there are thousands of people out there they know are going to buy that so it can be sold for less. It cost $15k for a supercharger kit for a B7 body Audi RS4, I realize that is a na engine so there are more parts needed but not that many and you are talking double the price. Or even $15k for this companies 2.3 blower with the other parts for the 63 engine guys (with this being their "stage 3"), so at nearly half the price we are doing pretty good.

I really hope they have a completely stock car other than this blower dyno to show what you could get bolting this on. I bet it will be more than all the bolt ons you can run right now with stock blower and looking at it that way it is only a few thousand more money than those (headers, pulley, throttle body, tune, cooling trying to keep stock blower under control).

FINALLY!!
Big Thumbs Up to Weistec for coming through!

I like how our 3.0L is $6,350 cheaper than the M156 2.3L Supercharger System!

My only draw back to this system is the deletion of the stock airboxes and engine cover. The necked engine bay and cone filter makes it look less professional compared to their M156/M159 S/C systems.
Oh well, as long as the numbers back it up!

Looking forward to the release of Horsepower, Torque, and Dyno graphs to show the abilities of the system, mild to wild.

i think the people who have reached the limitations of current mods will deffinately ante up and get this or the whipple if that ever comes out. I for one will see how people do with this over the next year and decide if it is cost effective. However, I dont think either company will make big money on their new blower. There are so many people with these cars now who talk all kinds of smack about what they are going to do with their car, who non stop ask the same questions about what parts are best and what numbers they should expect, that are never going to do a damn thing. After a while they'll end up getting a standard EC tune, do a resonator delete, and maybe, just maybe buy a low priced item from FT-P that has nothing to do with their two previous mods and call it a day. Those folks will not be purchasing this.

They originally said $6k, they are more of a "budget" kit though reusing things like the stock supercharger inlet, etc. And it is interesting how Weistec pointed out that as being a big restriction and important part of making power on their site on one of the photos.

I have not been following the other threads on this so please excuse my ignorant question. What is this type of RWHP going to do to the rest of the drivetrain? Will a new tranny and quaife be in order?

Wow, I'm pretty impressed. Almost $9K isn't cheap that's for sure but it ain't half bad either. I'm definitely going to stop modding now to save up for this monster.

My question now is, will my current mods work?

On vacation and finally got wifi to work and man what I nice sight to see!! Can the kit be purchased minus some parts(injectors and filter?). Can't wait to throw one I these on a built motor built to handle 1000+ horsepower.

Man, they priced it right at the point where it's totally in reach but makes you feel like you wasted money on pulleys, injectors, and tune since they come with the kit. Even the tb is practically a cheaper upgrade given you don't need an inlet or y-pipe. So thinking of it that way, pulley is $1000, injector $500, tune $750, and tb inlet stuff $600 so you are really getting $2850 of value right there. Blower and a probably a better intercooler for $6000 seems right on target.

I just started thinking, for the guys who have a "80mm" throttle body like myself, it won't bolt to their inlet will it? I am not completely sure but I think the bolt pattern is different on the 82mm compared to the 80 (actually 78mm inside). A 2007 SL55 supercharger inlet was used on my car since they have a larger opening than the stock inlet and the throttle body also came from a 2007 SL55 since they came stock with the larger "80" or "78" whatever you want to call it. I actually bought the car with this throttle body installed so I have no idea if the bolt pattern is the same as stock or different and then also different from the 82mm bolt pattern.

I guess this could be a little problem for me

beat the estimates of 10k.

Though the M156-Stock is 516hp so about a 100% With full mods to 1k hp.

While the M113 is 349 hp- So 100% inc. would be 700hp? That's what kids have now. No?

Considering the SLR isn't listed on potential models for this 3.0 liter blower, I'm betting it'll work since SLR shares basic 5.4 liter engine... So imagine the much lighter SLR w/1000+ HP hmmm Renntech's records in danger We may see the 1st SLR (if built right ALL internals/ tranns/diff etc) in the low low 9's or possibly 1st 8.99

Nice work Weistec

Bolt pattern is different but that's not a big issue to remedy. They probably will offer then with different tb options.

They have 2 options in a pic on the website, one with stock 74mm throttle body and the "optional" 82mm inlet so assume it is one of those two. Guess I would have to buy an 82mm throttle body since I have no interest in rigging up an adapter on one of their inlets to make my 80mm work.

That SLR had nitrous on it and they never even denied having it really. I think Blackbenzz has the best shot of running deep into the 9's and possibly 8's as light as his car is and watching it trap 132mph misfiring down the track. Not going to be cheap though with $8k blowers and built engines to handle them plus upgraded trans and most likely we will be finding the limits of the axles soon. Some quick math on a built engine. $2500-$3000 darton sleeves installed,$2000 billet rods w/arp bolts,$2500+ pistons w/upgraded pins, misc gaskets and labor to build new engine. Labor to R&R engine $2000+. Possibly porting heads and changing cams out to kleemann or VRP or even custom. $$$$$

Okay, question

I spent around $7K (without the installation) for Eurocharged's full Stage 3 Plus Power Package which included:
Eurocharged CL55 Performance Engine Software
Eurocharged 180mm Crank Pulley Kit
Kleemann Headers
82mm Throttle Body Kit
Injectors
CL55 Heat Exchanger
Johnson CM30 I/C Pump
TCU Tune

I definitely want to get this Weistec supercharger, but does that mean I ended up buying the Eurocharged kit, and now it will have to be replaced?
I don't mind spending the money, but I'd like to know that what I purchased from Eurocharged has to go to waste (not in the sense where I'm going to throw it away, but that it has to be uninstalled)
Are parts able to be combined?
When I read that the motor needs to be built, does that mean I can't just swap the superchagers and install the components necessary for this supercharger.
I want to wait and see a dyno video, some pulls, torque #s, more installations specs etc...

If everything looks great, (as I'm sure will, Weistec does superb Quality work from what I've seen) I will be buying it immediately. Hopefully the info gets released ASAP! The faster the numbers are up, the faster they'll get the numbers in my pockets

I really want the S/C to have a beautiful whine on top of the power. I hope this supercharger kit isn't going to be a complicated d!ck mission to install as I'm thinking it may be. This is so cool though, a proper supercharger upgrade for the 55K's. I'm hype, it's going to be a rare thing to see another Weistec S/C'd 55 around, and that badge is pretty cool.

Things like headers, heat exchanger, pump etc can be reused. You don't have to build the motor unless you're going for big power. You can decide how much boost you want to run by Altering pulley sizes

I know my Kleemann SC I could install and remove in a matter of hours. I'm sure this will be just as easy if not easier.

I think E55amgrocket will be way into the nines. I'm just trying to keep up lol

Apparently these are the only parts you'll be able to reuse. The 180mm pulley is what I don't know about because it may make too much boost with the new SC.
