@zod it's a floater it's under S/C very little contact with heat sources and larger.
Im surprised no posted dyno charts or power graphs.
I'm sure all of that has been done and tested to get this far.

- Need dyno graphs
- How/If they plan to seal that intake, as it will suck up heat/ more dust?
Guess they did this to fit cross platforms, as it might have fitment issues going from E/CLS/SL/S etc
Bonus things to come
- Smaller supercharger pulley
- Oil catch can
- Trunk ice Tank
- Possible Forged internal
- Trans strengthening

One could always raise the amount of torque management these cars have to save the tranny. On my Pontiac Grand Prix my auto started to slip with only 280whp or so...I raised the amount of timing it subtracted during shifts and it solved the problem entirely. Nearly 400whp and still no slip.
We could the same to our cars but the shifts will feel mushier, laggier....but it'll hold.

Praise to Weistec for this kit.
I have to say though, I am a little skeptical of their stellar reputation. I referred a contact to Weistec for a tune on his M157 because of the professionalism and quality they (appear to) exude. He was planning on originally going with a Renntech tune before I more or less convinced him to check out Weistec's tune. Long story short, it was a very unsatisfying experience for him. It made me look bad for referring him to Weistec because of how poorly he was treated and the damage done.
My point is, before you all spend a lot of money for this kit, see it in person, and maybe get to know them a little bit better. I'm not saying that everyone has poor experiences with them, and I'm sure it must be a rarity, but I can only speak from his experience, and because of that, I don't think I could do business with them.

Question: Any Issues with removing the Magnet S/C clutch assembly that is there form the factory? Does it mess with drive-ability? Tune compensate?

Couple of thoughts ....
Two smaller twin TB's could have been used and more thought could have gone into the air intake having smaller twin filters either side of the S/C, making probably a more efficient setup and improving the aesthetics too. So a T type intake feeding the S/C.
Air intake ducting is also needed to feed the filter/s. Sucking that air in the cabin is far from ideal - and it hardly seems difficult to implement either. A smaller / thinner twin filter arrangement would make this easier too I think.
No bypass valve is going to be interesting... deleted from tune? How will this affect drivability? The CLK-DTM had this deleted so it can be done.
TBH I would first like to see a running example and dyno runs with all stats incl IAT's etc etc
1000HP... hmm well I hope so but at mom I am a little scepticle.
Reckon forged pistons a minimum upgrade for power >750... nd we will soon see where the weak links are in this motor.

With a bypass valve you don't need a clutch on the s/c. I've always hated the heavy clutch design on the stock s/c. Also a really good point that the weistec kit drops 50lbs where we need to loose weight the most.
