QP seams pretty boring car to me, although as said the exhaust note is pretty amazing. Keep the 55 and throw the weistec on it!

Seems Chris Harris of the Bears also has one in white.
Perhaps my view of these has been tainted, but they have a bit of a ghetto fabulousness about them to me.

I think this thread is funny.
Not because Justin wants a Maserati, but because everyone wants to trash him for it. Nobody seems to have any first hand experience to share, but just obnoxious comments.
Who cares? Life is short, and if he has the means to do it, and wants it ~ more power to him.
I bought a new car this weekend to replace the e63. Its European, all wheel drive and turbocharged. I'll not say anything else, because I dont really care to hear that its a piece of crap, or that its slower than the e63, or anything else derogatory. Worked for me, and I liked it.
Hope you get the car, Justin, and hope it rocks.

Ive had a Biturbo S back in the day, it was carburetored (i cant spell this word...autocheck wants careerbuilder) and turbo and it was a pain in the *** to maintain. They havent changed.
I know Justin is handy with cars, but i think he will be disappointed. Just trying to prevent him from leaving the brand as he is a bright kid who knows a lot about these cars.

The Maseratti looks better than any Mercedez ever made. Amongst 4 door cars its probably the best looking car ever made (though this is hugely subjective). However, The Maserati is only a mid 13 second car. It also, gets worse mpg than an AMG which is hard to justify givin the AMG's performance. As Matt Farrah once said "Maserati's have all the maintence costs of a Ferrari with none of the performamce." That said however, I'd still drive one over almost any car for its sheer beauty.

All I can say is the quattroporte is a pig of a car. Sounds good, but so does a Mustang. There are a lot of nice sounding exhaust notes out there.
But people on this thread are correct that this model spends a lot of time in the shop. It is one thing or another.
If you are dead set on getting a Maserati, you should wait for the new GranSport to come out. Check out one of the latest editions of Evo magazine, they have a good write up on it. Very aggressive styling, but Maserati is still hampered with mechanical issues.
At least you were warned. But Maserati is an exotic and will get looks that is for sure, but for a price.
Go in with all eyes wide. Enjoy

Instead of stealing your lower grille , some one might steal the crown from the Maserati. Just reminds me of Latin kings fraternity in NYC and chi town. All comes down to what makes you happpy

I looked at QPs a few years ago. Like you, I loved the way it looked, it sounded amazing and the prices were surprisingly low, at the time. Then I started looking at them harder, and what I found was that the panel gaps between interior trim was disgusting. Different from car to car, and I couldn't believe how sloppily some of them were put together. And oddly enough, the ones with light color interior were worse. Or maybe it was just more noticeable on the light ones.
It was enough to turn me completely off to the car.
