So my 2004 e55 has always had the teleaid SOS malfunction message since I've owned it. It appears when I start the car and then a few mins later. Each time it mutes the stereo and then audio returns 5 seconds or so later. Today with a friends help, we were looking around in the trunk for the possible cause. We looked at the Nav antenna splitter (disconnected and inspected - clean). All connections to audio gateway looked good. We also checked out the teleaid module and disconnected/reseated connections as we had read that the mute feature on the MOST ring comes from the either the audio gateway or the teleaid module. This was basically a investigative mission. Well after disconnecting and reconnecting the teleaid module, the SRS light has come on and the malfunction message appears in dash. Does anyone know if this temporary loss of connectivity for the teleaid module and the subsequent SRS error will reset itself or do I need a Star Diagnostic System? If it's as I suspect, anyone is the Columbus Ohio area with an Star willing to assist?

Mine has begun giving me the error message as well. I figured it was a problem that could be fixed with a star and a few key strokes, but it's good to hear that it's that easy.

Mine gets the error when it rains, a day after once it dries its gone away, I'm assuming its a corroded antenna connection, need to go see what to look for.

I kinda figured as much. I guess now, need to either take it to the stealership or find someone with a star... anyone?

My TeleAid warning light came on last week shortly before I came home and then was gone on the next start-up. I was wondering what happened....

Broke down, bought a Star and was able to resolve my issue. I just cleared my faults, ran a most ring wake up, and tada! Gotta love it. After clearing my faults I can't say that I've seen my Telaid warning either. Haven't had too much time to test but looks good. If not, I'll just disable with Star as well. If you're in Columbus and need a star, let me know, maybe I can help.

I have the TeleAid message, along with the SRS error. I'm only 45 minutes from Columbus and would be most appreciative if you could lend any sort of assistance. I don't know how to message people on here, perhaps you do?
