When you paint the surge tanks... do you just remove those TORX bolts on top and they come off?

am stripping the paint off next week and redoing them AGAIN lol....

YES remove all the torxes and they come off

Remove the torx and the two hose clamps on the back, and off they come. There is a gasket under them, and although I have *seen* people reuse them, it is best to replace. If you do reuse, test for vacuum/boost leaks, as this can be a royal pain.

It won't be much more difficult... just some extra patience in masking off different areas and painting one thing at a time...

The AMG letters are such a small area to paint on. I wonder if there are other options, if nail polish wasn't flammable, the approach of just kinda brushing the paint on wouldn't look too bad either.
