2006 E55 AMG
Dynamic seats not working?
My dynamic seats do not work anymore.. and I can't adjust anything other than the position of the seat it-self.

But, I randomly find the back support and the leg support inflating... I can deflate it.. but can't inflate any of them.

The side bolsters are dead soft.... It's both seats.. Anyone know what this could be?

I literally know nothing about anything, but my guess is that your air pump is the issue. Still under warranty?

No, I am not. It has one air pump for both seats? Also, does anyone know where the fuse is for the pump(s)?

If you scroll thruogh the menu's on the dash, you'll find where you can change the settings for the dynamic seats. Maybe they are turned off there.

07' SL65, 04' E55, 03' Evo8, 08' GSXR, DSM's...
The fuse is in the trunk near the battery, should be a green 30a fuse if i recall sitting attached to the trunk along with a few other fuses (not in an actual fuse box like the others), along with the pump, which is near the driver's side tail light. One pump for both seats. I would start with the fuse, and then the pump. Good luck.

I had to have the air pump and lines rebuilt in my '06 on the driver's side seat, luckily my warranty covered it but it would have been $1800 or so if it was out of my own pocket.

albert, you can get the part from the steelership for 300-350 if i remember correctly
the dynamic seat pump that is.

I got a used pump, (thanks shardul) installed it, and now what happens is that the seats (the inflated parts) work for about the first 10 minutes of driving, then nothing.

Still not working? I thought my driver side was shot - had MB Buckhead run diagnostics on the system.... ($100 or something like that).

Turned out my dumbass had the bolsters cranked all the way up already - in that state, when you turn on the dynamic seats, they shut off. Bladders, pump, everything were good.

$100 spent to tell me I was a dumbass...but better than going and tearing things apart.

EDIT - NEVERMIND...finally read first post about bolsters/bladders.

Sounds like pump...

Well this is the e63 pump I got and I have a feeling i got owned because the size of this thing is super small and every other dynamic pump i see is longer like an "L" shape





and for comparison here is the other one.... and i think this is the one i need

That bigger one is the actual one you need. The part number on it is also correct ( i went out and checked mine).
