did AMGFAN do something that looked stock but wasn't? at least in one iteration of his attempt to create the most custom install around - i think he succeeded

The 1-6 button is for CD or radio station...if you wanted to dial you would have to dial on the screen directly or your phone

It has all of that. I'm assuming the iPod/Aux cable or connection must come out through the back only because I don't see a USB up front. Both eBay and the Dynavin site show iPod integration.

The Android OS would be the same for all DYNAVIN products..only thing they are changing is the frame...

DYNAVIN is probably the best aftermarket OEM repalcement radio for European cars...they specialize specifically for BMW, Mercedes Benz, Audi, and VW.

As far as quality...DYNAVIN products can confidently compete with Pioneer, Sony, Clarion etc...

I'm not a promotion person for the company, but I can get these units around $660 plus shipping. They come with all available harnesses from whatever application your car has. It supports fiber optic and canbus. PM me if interested or you can just ask questions about it.

do you think you can maybe post a picture of you unit installed?

Not saying much as the aftermarket solutions are extremely limited to begin with.

So we have two people here with something positive to state, one is brand new that post only on this, the other has a low post count and also sells or otherwise involved in selling these. In contrast, others here have posted that the unit is absolute POS, no in between, pure POS!

That makes people wonder what is going on. I'm not convinced until an established well known member here that is not playing 8-ball in a vendors pocket actually post up a thread.

If then it is found to work with none of the typical BS excuses, I would buy.

Reason why I posted this was because a forum member emailed me personally saying he found me on bimmerfest and maybe this was something I would be interested in providing insight into.

Dynavin IS NOT A POS unit I can telly out that first and foremost. All technology is based out of Germany, and they actually try not to over produce meaning the quality over quanitity is more important..

Dynavin actually as a renown name in the aftemarket head unit

Appreciate your input, thank you. From what I understand, most if not W211s have fiber optic...

If you want to pick up Reputation points really quickly we would all love it if you posted some youtube videos of the unit in your car. If you could play around with the different features, nothing complicated it would be VERY MUCH APPRECIATED.

I'm not sure if I have a video of it in a car...but I can post videos of it powered on using the inverter we have here...

I was hoping the other forum member would post up his pics given he installed it.

I apologize as I know the video of radio above is for BMW E39...but the software/platform it runs off of would be the same for the E-CLASS Dynavin D99...

This is the NON ANDROID UNIT.

yes...the unit can still be installed if you bypass the fiber optics. However, installation wouldn't be so "direct-plug and play". Most of our customers usually take it to get professionally installed, but some are still able to install it themselves...

This is an older model of the E-CLass Dynavin unit...which IMO is still a very very nice unit..

I admit that did not look half bad but any video on a new model? I'm big on smooth operation and sound quality.

Why not just get a really nice double DIN (e.g. Kenwood) that is proven, has great NAV, and integration options ?

I like the fact that you don't have buy the cheap looking plastic kit to fill in the surround. It fits just like the mercedes unit. I haven't had any problems out of mine and I've had it for almost 4 months.

I agree...aftermarket setups look down right out of place.

It is the one at the beginning of this thread. Yes, it uses the fiber optic cable, but you plug it into the provided wiring harness.

There was a great thread on here with a double din setup that looked killer, granted it may have been / was more work than this and clearly was not plug and play....What about the amplifier or preouts for amps?

Just got to your post today...I'd like to see that video!

Even if the sound is not great...adding an audisson Bit One or the HK Logic7 processor would improve this. I like that it fits and looks OEM...with BT, Ipod, NAVi, Steering Control etc for $600.

Thanks again
