I wouldn't say so much cheap as even reasonable.

Took the words right out of my mouth. $500 is cheap for these rotos, $1000 is reasonable, $1900 is insane...lol. Two piece rotors for my ex-Infiniti G35 cost $600.

My guess is that the braking performance with these rotors would actually be worse than stock.

In my book the advantage is lighter weight and sexy looks

I noticed the pads do not seem to cover all of rotor but leave about 20 mm unused .

Well it cannot since its the same pad on a larger rotor...its probably closer to 29mm that is not used. The kit must also include new brackets to raise the caliper etc.

E55 AMG
I doub't there is much additional stopping performance. if any, it is probably negated by the excess rotational mass.

I'm on 380 mm fronts and 12 pots they cover the disc fully , another thing I notice is the alloy bells , mine came with machined cast and was recommended by all the manufactures of bells not to use alloy . Only cast or stainless steel . Not sure why ?

No longer stock '06 E55, A3 3.2 Quattro, LRD4 HSE, R107 280SL
wonder how the bracket mounts on this....

Stopping power should be better for the leverage element also I imagine the cooling should be better too.

I reckon these will prob still be lighter than oem though ...

wrong price point though and intl's are out of the market given shipping anyway

Discs will be lighter, but the factory calipers still are overweight. Brembo GT calipers FTW.

Yup, once the rotor material start cutting away you going to have a big a$$ groove in the rotor. Back to the the drawing board.
