Double check the gas tank. SL 03 has a common issue with gas tank leak.

512lbf/in2 - 527 is the range. dealership made comment on report saying no point in leak down as compression is high.
They even checked each cylinder twice based on the report.

Arriving late tonight, really late, like 2am CST.
Crossing my fingers that there are no surprises. Ordered 20" tires last night, just need to pull the trigger on some rims this week. Not sure when I will actually daily drive it more than a block or two. I live in Toronto, work in Oklahoma. Commute back and forth almost weekly. Had the car shipped down to OK, havent figured out where exactly this car will reside. The purchase was very impulse, and thanks to you guys saying "good deal" "steal", a deposit went down very quickly.. we shall see..

got car late last night, all good, no surprises other than how deep and loud the exhaust is when you get into it. definitely not for the faint hearted. Took it for a quick rip this morning from one exit to the next and it got to excessive speeds in little to no time. Have nothing to compare it to, but it pulled very hard to north of three digits. very impressed. got some user questions will post on the SL forum portion of forum in regards to some of the gadgetry.

Only thing left to question right now is the cams, nothing in the paperwork leads me to believe they were done, seller is adamant (not a deal breaker regardless, but wouldnt mind being sure). Sent all the paperwork to the place that did that work to see what they say. Nonetheless, its all good. Everything works, body is very clean given age and/or mileage. Sits good.. ordered tires and 20" cv3 matte graphite vossens.

Thanks for all of your help, rims are back ordered till 12/15. Tires should be here by end of the week, initially ordered 305's,then changed order to 295's, didnt want to f99k around or chance any type of rubbing. I live in Canada, car is in OK where I work and outside of clothes and toiletries, I own nothing else down here to be able to toy around with a car. So thought the 295's would be the safe choice.

theres a local guy name "thatdude" on puremb. he might be able to help you get the vossens faster(he would call the place where you ordered from)i think he is a sales perosn.

ive the same wheels that you just ordered. bad news tho... this color chips easy espcailly on the lip of the rear wheels. depends what color your SL is ... i would order it in other colors. im going to powdercoat mine black during winter season.

I'm having the rims shipped to OK, where the cars is and with the holidays around the corner I wont really be here much, so in no rush. Car wont prob be in Toronto for some time, but who knows.

Appreciate the feedback on the color, kind of set it in my head that I want the car to look exactly like that silver car in the vossen shoot, so did not really consider another color. In the event it chips, will just get them powdercoated later at some point. Will cross that bridge when we get to it I guess. Appreciate the heads up.
