Happy Thanksgiving! I can't wait to eat insane amounts of great food and we have two awesome cakes a friend of mine makes that I can't wait to try.

Cheesecake stuffed carrot cake and banana chocolate chip cake stuffed with peanut butter cheesecake

Hell I will give her a free plug too. Click here

Damn that looks good. We were going to get something from the Cheesecake Factory by the house but settled on the traditional pumpkin pie. Can't go wrong with pumpkin pie lol

I honestly don't think I have ever ate pumpkin pie in my 30 years on this planet lol. We will have some though as well as apple pie I believe. Got a big gang of people going to be here so have lots of options!

We are having it at my aunt/uncle's house about 1.5 hours from where I live and my parents drove up 7 hours then some grandparents who live locally here and a few other family members are here. Got a whole house full of people. Luckily my grandmother and aunt like cooking.

Have a 25lb turkey in the oven and a ham as well as tons of side dishes they are making.

Me, well I just stay out of the way and play on the internet lol.

Cakes look awesome!! I almost would have ordered one, but shipping looks very expensive though!! I'm sure she has to use special refrigerated shipping and that gets pricey, but that's what would keep me from ordering one online. Just some non-biased feedback you could give her. I sell tires online and shipping costs are the biggest cost by far that eat into my profit!! Always a consideration that has to be taken into account. On a lighter note HAPPY TURKEY DAY to all. I look forward to stuffing myself and lounging on the couch watching football today!!

Yeah, I thought the same about shipping. Fortunately I had family coming up from the Florida Keys where she does the cakes and they were able to pick them up and bring them on their way up to north Florida where we are doing Thanksgiving. She set them up in a cooler for us and we will just bring it back to her when parents return this weekend.

For shipping she puts them in a cooler and has dry ice packs around them with stuff to hold them in place so they don't shift or melt during shipping and I can see where that stuff adds costs. Unfortunately it is needed and those added costs drive the purchase price up to order them.

They also sell slices of different cakes or they have cupcakes filled with cheesecake as well at their restaurant "Annette's" located in Marathon (middle keys) which has some pretty amazing food too, so if you are ever in the Florida Keys you could try it there haha.

The daughter is a few years younger then me and graduated from a culinary college a few years back and decided to start this little business with her mom who runs the restaurant. I have always saw pictures of the cakes and stuff on her Facebook but haven't had the chance to try them so I can't wait! And it is of course nice to help a friend out so we decided to get two of the cakes.

Sounds good! We did a turducken with crawfish stuffing a few years ago. It was very good our maybe it was the wine.
