Hello All! New E55 AMG owner!
I purchased a 2005 e55 amg with 135k on the clock. I got a good deal on it and knew it had a few small issues, so I took a chance. The body is flawless, interior is mint, just has some miles. In the past three weeks of ownership I have replaced both belts, dual idler pulley ($350!!!!) and replaced the supercharger clutch bearing. I also changed the oil and filters (air, cabin and oil). I picked up some new motor mounts today and plan on putting them in tomorrow when I get some time.
I have noticed that the parts I have purchased or installed, seem to be somewhat on the common side of replacement.
I notice a strange vibration in the morning as soon as it goes into second gear. Only seems to do it cold. Seems a little jerky to when it is cold. The trans is not the engine. I didnt know if that was common as well. I will put my mounts in and see if that helps. No codes in the drivetrian modules at all.
I own Moyers Automotive Service in Midlothian. Labor isnt an issue, really parts arent either. I got the car cheap enough so if I have to put a couple thousand in it, Im still ahead, and I absolutly L-O-V-E this car. We work on our share of Merc, but we specialize in BMW and Audi/VW. Any insight I can get, would be much appreciated!!
Thank You!!
Jason

It's dirt cheap takes 20min or less and will hopefully fix your vibration issue!
PS: If you don't mind me asking what did you get the car for? I swear I got the best deal on the planet, bought an '03 from someone for $15k with 96,000 miles and all warranty and maintenance work is up to date and done at dealers
