well it's starting.. Time for Mods!!!!

well I just picked up My car Last week. which turned out the be a Kleemann K4.

and looking over the car it still has the factory Intercooler pump and H/E So first set of mods is gonna be a Larger H/E, split cooling system and Johnson Pump

Put some New shoes on also. My buddy had them laying around(had them on a 94 E500) but were to big.. they are 19" e63 re-pops. I am gonna lower the car this week(Star) along with Valve cover gasket, tranny fluid and connector 1 heat range colder plugs and oil change. I work at a shop In santa monica..

Also The car never came with a TCU tune. So that looks as if it need to be done also and go to a larger crank pulley. it has a Kleeman 168mm crank pulley. so I was thinking 17x or 180mm and advice...

in sport 2

comfort.

haters crazy
You bought the car thinking it was stock and turned out to be a K4? That's a nice surprise! Definitely take care of the cooling and enjoy the car

I'd stick with the 168mm pulley. Any larger and your going to be creating lots of heat, as well as a useless first gear and a lack of traction.

this is not my first go round with F/I So i am pretty familiar with making them live ,it all about efficiency. I was thinking of making some type a boost controller using 2 bypass valve mounted to both surge tanks and electronic boost controller if it becomes a problem..
https://www.easyperformance.com/prod...ost-controller

although the pulley wont get done for a month or so. I still need to dyno for base line..

Nice grab. You can easily sell the Kleemann pulley on here for your larger pulley.

yes, exactly what happened.. Flew into portland to see a garage kept no dent car. pop hood and see stainless headers. then see 80MMtb. gave previous owners name and vin# and Cory at Kleemann confirmed they did the work on the car.

was not able to test due to rain when i went and pick it up.

close to stock car. My car has the headers but they left the factory resonator and mufflers. I and gonna re-do with x-pipe and get rid of silencer.

I will make a better one...

Nice pick up!

Fwiw if I bought my car with K4 installed I wouldn't touch the engine.
Cosmetics and TCU tune...absolutely.

I think the K4 package is one of the best all around sorted options for our cars.
Certainly you can add more torque, but I am not sure the gain will be worth the downsides.

Kleeman really knows what they are doing with our engines and have a great balance of USABLE power, efficiency and safety.

Welcome and good luck.

well I star lowered it. Also did the tranny connector, what a difference as far as shifting.

oil change,(Mobil1 0-40) K & n filter clean. Apparently nobody in 30,000mi thought they needed to be cleaned.

Kleemann headers

going to do something about this. most likely x pipe with new cats and get rid of resonator
