My build is up and running!!
Well I've decided to build a couple of engine now. Darton told me they were ready but pushed it back again so i'm tired of waiting. I'm going to sleeve another block with the cast iron press in sleeves and when darton is done i'll build another with that block. Looks like i will be staying with the stock bore for this build. So far i've got billet rods being made and also ordered some slightly custom pistons from Diamond. I've done a lot of thinking/testing on the fuel system and have some nice stuff that will be going on that and my heads have had some more work done as well as some titanium upgrades
For now here's a little teaser of some of the things i've been working on...

That TB looks familiar Steve Good Luck with your build, can't wait to see it up and running. Hopefully someday we'll have something other than a stock blower on our engines!

Cool! Are you still going forward with custom cams? Also, are you modifying the Kleemann headers to become tri-y long tubes, or is it a fresh built set?

Headers will be a custom built set. I'm waiting to see what we come up with for a cam profile. I've got the stock cams as well as the PTE cams out being measured so hopefully either he thinks the PTE cams will be fine or they can design something off the stock cams. I've thought about running a set of stock cams but the heads will work better with more aggressive cams for my application. I know the biggest thing will be getting the car on a diet. The goal is to get down to somewhere around 4100lbs and the first time out I'm dropping exhaust, seats, battery, lighter rotors hopefully and hiring a 115lb jockey to drive it

Darton Sleeves & PRI
Sorry to hear about the extended delay with your sleeves. I stopped at their display at PRI. I saw the sample sleeve on the shelf . Started to inquire about the availability time frame & 2 guy's said they are ready for delivery NOW? , But they were dancing around some of my pointed questions. I finally got to the 3rd person , who from a distance could see something was up. He stepped in and said there were some issues , I asked if a Cassette style set up like Aston Martin ( This is where 4 sleeves are manufactured as a 1 piece drop in assy) . Would be a alternative solution. I’ve seen this in Aston-Martin engine & done to other open deck design motors. This adds a ton of strength. My Guess from their reacting to my Question , It will be a while before they release the parts. So your going to sleeves , is not a bad Ideal. Just get the correct ring package .
I also left a sample piston with Mahle . I'm sure there is a Forged part in standard & 1/4 mm over with pins , Clips and Rings. Then I traveled over to Fluidampr , showed them my crank snout repair kit . They approved it , I now have 6 kits in stock. Then I went to ARP & another hardware /bolt manufacture SPS & Stage 8 .
This year the Show was pretty slow. and it was the last year in Orlando, FL.
It will be moved to Indianapolis , IN. And be a Combined show with IMIS
( International Motor-sports Industry Show) at a more central Location , I believe this will provide us will a better selection of educated personnel , Not just a dancing sales group whom has limit information on current automotive technical trends.

Yea I'm really not happy with darton at this point. I was told to take and drop the blocks off everything was ready then I call and the guy tells me it will be another 6 weeks before they even have the sleeves back to the California shop.

Good to see your starting to go back together. Is that a different throttle body flange welded to the intake? How big are you planning to go with the throttle body?
The beasts are heavy, so any trimming of weight will help the et.

The inlet in the picture is Blackbenzz. He let me use the supercharger/inlet for fitment and design of the rails. I've got 3 intercoolers that I'm going to try some new things with also. One has the bypass valve eliminated so I'm going to fab up a sheet metal intake for that on and the other 2 will be stock style but my fab guy wants to try his idea on 1 and ill try my idea on another. Should be interesting but the sheet metal blower will be ran with a 92mm TB and possibly the other 2 stock style 82mm inlets also.

Haven't really thought about nitrous on it. Honestly my goal is to hit a 9.99 on the stock blower then step up to the weistec. I left the piston design up to Diamond and sent them a bunch of info on the engine and also a spare piston. For those that don't know are connecting rods are piston driven meaning the piston actually keeps the rod centered on the crankshaft. 99% of engines have the crankshaft keeping the rods centered so of course nothing can be easy with these cars. I think after i get everything dialed in i might hit it with some nitrous a few times to see what it does.

Your build is up & together
The term I call it , is a TOP GUIDED ROD. The top piston manufactures in my Book , are Diamond , Mahle and Wossner. JE , CP & Wiseco are now under the same umbrella. Wiseco Piston Grp. And Trying to get it back together and of course there is some internal butting of ego's.
