Is this the UPGRADED from stock Bosch 010 pump?

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Mercedes-W203-W215-W230-Bosch-Auxiliary-Water-Pump-/170651114248?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item27bb995b08&vxp=mtr
Probably go with it, if so....Hearing all the hooplah.. BOSCH 010 may be better than cm30....direct easy install from what I have read thus far..

Also, I THINK I have the original pump and some lag issues sometimes, is there ANYWAY to confirm which pump is in my 06 e55? Before I have it swapped? I bought the car used and am unsure what may be in there...(for all I know I have a lower or upper pulley already, may take two pics) Can I see the model number or marks on the pump by just looking underneath without a jack or ramps?

thanks

sorry for late response. well you cant tell the part # just looking under it you need to lift it up atleast a little and take off the undercarriage plastics. and when me and my friend raced he was ahead of me by a car and half. both of ours are stock. plus its hard to launch my car perfectly unlike launch control on the smg ya know

Hi,

Thanks for the link. it says that part number is bosch 0392022002

I thought the new bosch for our e55 amg is 0392022010 or another one ending in 010? maybe 0392022002 is even later than 0392022010? Either one do the trick?

Sorry for confusion, it should be simple but want to be sure I get the correct pump.

Thanks for any info.. It definitely seems I need it, today it was 90 degrees and after one pull or two it falls on its face...

May do it myself.... This alone will fix this issue?

Some add the new PLM or alike heat exchanger for added protection?

4 options:

1. Bosch pump only for now, fix my s/c shutdowns....? (DIY Hopefully)
2. PLM ebay deal with PLM H/E and a CM30 (Pay for install with H/E?)
3. Bosch pump + Eurocharged H/E
4. PLM and BOSCH Pump?

Thanks

Make sure whether you do it or the stealership does it that you GET THE AIR OUT OF THE SYSTEM! There's bleeder on the metal lines come up from the heat exchanger. Run a hose from it to your coolant tank and get 'er up to temp and flowing. It will get rid of all the air.

If you/they don't do this, a new pump will not help.

GOod luck

OK. I would hate to have it not help

Does anyone know a great SOCAL Shop that would do simple things like this at a reasonable price?

thanks.

Would it be ok to have the coolant tank open since its pressurized?
