The TB is off a W211 E550 (273 motor). The inlet is 80mm and is off a late model SL55 so it has to be bored to 82mm. The bolt pattern is different on the inlet so the two bottom holes did not line up with the throttle body. I did not want to deal with adapter plates etc, so I had the existing holes filled and bottom mounting ears "built up" with aluminium. I then ground it flat and redrilled the new holes. Took the welder 5 mins tops to do and cost me around $20Originally Posted by berti_00

Getting all my stitching re-done in red in 2 weeks as well.
If anyone cares. For my W215;
Besides being in the current process of getting my rear arches widened, I also got new red light panels, so when you open the doors instead of illuminating 'AMG' in blue, it'll be red (as I have nothing blue on or in my car.)
And entire roof/visors finally all covered in matching black/charcoal leather, rather than the accustomed material/suede....along with the all the trim pieces matched to black. Smells fantastic inside if you're in to that new car smell

Just those little things done for now (besides the widebody)
Need to figure out which route to go to get my front bumper done tho. We were supposed to have Euroteck do a 10 pc limited edition carbon fiber entire front bumper, but never got enough members

I need to have the front end updated and only done properly, so bad! Like how you E55 guys have the E63 conversion that makes the front bumper go rounded - ) - to subtle pointed - > - in the front, that's what I desire so badly for the CL...little details like that make such a difference, to me at least.
All the newer MBs have that and it really does give it that aggressive face.
That and even bigger openings/mouth where the mesh is, sides and an center.
OH - I also got "floating" center caps. Where the wheel spins but the center caps have the Mercedes star always in the upright position. Done in carbon background as well. Just haven't had the car to get them put on. I hope it looks awesome

Merry Christmas to me from some *** wipe. Someone hit my car while I was parked and not around. Cracked the trim piece that the chrome clips in to, so I will need a new one of those and then have the bumper repaired. My luck continues..........

Don't mind the dirty bumper, you could say the car is running a tad rich from switching out the 180 pulley to the stock one and it is doing a number to the rear end right now.

Total E63 conversion (front bumper, tail lights, deck lid), aftermarket heat exchanger (don't know brand yet), new wheels most likely forgestar F14s, new front skid plate, new rear bumper, rear diffuser, front lip, new 3rd brake light, new voltage regulator, spark plugs, wires, oil, and to myself, a STAR kit to match my WIS. After that's all done, Simons shine shop in Chicago for paint correction and total detail. Don't worry, there will be many pictures in a before-after Mercedes overhaul thread... Should be done in late January early February..
