Hello all,

before you start reading - this is in Canada- No Hating the country or the dip !

Okay so most of you know recently I got a "stunt driving" charged. Before that car had a fuel leaking smell (the one that all E55 suffers from) and now getting subframe bolt fixed. Before buying the car my parents told me don't get a black car cuz they are superstitious but I still got it. Now even after my Mechanic reasoning with my parents that these issues are basic and nothing to worry about them, the car is tip-top they don't want me to have the car in black color. I've been given an ultimatum that if I don't sell it or trade it, they will. (I had to transfer the car under mom's name for OSAP purposes, so they actually can sell it) So if anyone has any other E55 AMG in a different color than black please let me know. Maybe we can carry out a deal. Even if you have a C63 AMG or E63 and want to trade let me know.

Car has 162xxx kms and two year "Coast to Coast" (company's name) unlimited kms, zero deductible, upto $5000 on one claim warranty. On engine, transmission, high tech parts, as in sun roof and windows, locks and all, and could be transferred but costs $600, winter tires Hankook Ventus evo ice or something costed $2000 and has less than 1500 kms on them, Eurocharged ECU tune and right now Plasti Dipped black and has 20% all around tint, Parktronic no navigation though. Just got the fuel smell , sender unit replaced recently. If your car is a bit better than mine as in got pano and keyless and distronic, I'd be willing to pay some cash.
Have to get the subframe bolt fixed , so will get that fixed before trading. Will include emission and safety.

Interior is perfect, the rear passenger side sunshide is sort of ripped but nothing a quick glue can't fix. I'm the second owner. The first owner had the car since 2004 until this year when he got the brand new CLS63 AMG.

So if the buyer wants the plasti dip to be off the car i'll take it all off but you have to be willing to put some cash up , so I know you won't change ur mind and I'll end up with glossy paint

Please please only AMG vehicles and 2004 or newer. PM me

Plasti dip the car white? Lol Crappy situation man, hope you get it worked out and everything works out for the best. I wouldn't go 63, I think you'd regret it.

^^^ Lol. Like others have suggested, plasti dip it another color. That way when you move out or whatever, it'll still be black.. Extremely simple yet so hard for you to realize.

Purchase a Honda Civic, you'll be a lot less likely to get those big tickets.

Painting it white is the last resort for me before I get forced into buying bimmer or a lexus.
In snow, a car dipped white , would get dirty so quick that' it'll look nasty 24/7 lol I know you guys consider this nasty as well but even for me it'll be dirty.

Long time ago had a Honda Prelude, that one blew the transmission when I hit 217 km/h in it. After that I swayed away from vehicles of that kind.

like everyone is saying why not remove the stupid plastidip and carry on or unless there is some deeper reasoning that you want to trade it all together

Highly doubt you'd find someone willing to trade you for the same exact car when it has known issues lol. Story just seems weird to me. No reason you can't change the color with plastidip or wrapping it yourself.

Well, ok, you don't have to do it in white. Any other color would work from what it sounds like. What was the paint color under the Plastidip?

Just paint the whole car in White. Since you already spent some $$$ in this car not worth to trade or sell. In snow, white car is not that bad ! we have few member here live in New York with White E55. A good body paint job will cost about $2K to $3K. I would just do a good paint. Good luck.

So far ive figured out the OP is indian (east or native) and he has a black E55
Parents are superstitious and wants him to sell even going as far as getting the mom to transfer the title to her name.

WTF......?

He is my type of Indian and my parents same way. My mom NEVER wears anything black. We had a black Lexus and few days later, my grand father died. Got a black TL and it was totalled in 2 months. So he has his reasons. Me on other hand...next car is a black SL lol

First time we ever got a Black car was in 2005 a Black E320 4 matic , got 3 accidents in it. One of them was at fault which got the car totalled. Then got got a Honda Prelude and it blew up transmission and other stuff with it too.

So Parents' understanding was that black isn't suitable for us. I wanted to man up to prove them wrong and show them it's all how we think nothing to do with color and all but nope no understanding here.

We all E55 owners know that "fuel smell" and "subframe broken bolt" is nothing big deal and almost everyone has suffered from it.

Maybe I will plasti Dip it white lol
