e63 front conversion

I am having Chapperone Auto Body do a e63 front conversion and would like to get some guidance on front grill options.

I have been trying to find a aftermarket grill (chrome with black in lays) without the emblem, but have not been successful so far. Here is one that is close :

http://www.ebay.com/itm/2118801783-G...item53ef132706

The other idea I had was the grill with the large MB logo in the center (like the new C class AMG). http://www.ebay.com/itm/Chrome-New-G...306910&vxp=mtr

Thoughts ?

I would like to get chrome with black inlays and am open to the emblem if it looks good. TIA

You know these grilles come apart right? You can paint the inside black with chrome inlays or vice versa. My buddy wanted same thing you wanted but he wrapped his in CF

I did not know they came apart as my e55 grill does not (it is one piece) and I assumed the e63 was made the same way....for those of you that have done the e63 conversion, which grill did you use ? Thanks

When I did me conv I found a grill just like you are looking for. I will post a pic and look through email to find where I ordered it from as it took a while to find.

Interesting.

My 55 grille was OEM and you could separate the grille insert from the grille.

E55 w/ goods, Z32 Project underway
Many Ebay E63 grills do not have a proper fit and the bottom portion protrudes out noticeably. Just an FYI.

On the first link some images show a hole up top for the small MB Laurel while some images it's a straight chrome piece with no affordance for this laurel. So which is it?

I got mine on ebay from this seller:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/160838975902...84.m1423.l2649

I emailed first to confirm not top center emblem hole. As someone else mentioned it may not fit as well as an OEM on but I couldn't say as I have not been able to compare to a OEM E63 grill.
