STAR and WIS, Where to Buy?
I am looking for a multiplexer and all the cables minus software and a laptop for a STAR setup, but yeilded a few Q's without A's in the search bar.
1) who sells these locally(Forum member)? DONT want a cheapy china
2) on the laptop I want to use for this, is windows XP required, and if so, Could I use a 256GB SSD to hold the software? SSD speed should help that slow STAR interface right?
3) I read through the STAR sticky, but was wondering, just how much can REALLY be done thru STAR?

Shardul actually contacted me, and I will be buying one of his setups. Shardul has saved me YET again. I honestly dont know what I would do without his knowledge sometimes.

Thanks!
Received my setup from Shardul yesterday. Worked perfectly right out of the box. No hassles, no BS, no fiddling, no tweaking, no adjustments or resetting - just worked! Looks to be high quality, too!
Cheers,
Jeff

Good to hear! Hopefully be getting mine here soon, waiting on wheels to get here to start the conversion. Can't wait to take the washers off my susp. and do things the right way! Now it's time to check out the STAR DIY thread and start modding!

Hi
I must also state that Shardul has been giving me a very high amount of free advice from the very beginning of when I purchased my E55. This maintained and continued even after I purchased a Star Diagnostic system off him and a smaller supercharger pulley.
I just counted and I have over 60 private messages between me and Shardul as well as phone calls on assistance in using Star Diagnostic, for the record I have never met Shardul and I am located in Australia. He is a person of very high integrity as far as I am concerned.
I also have received lots of advice from Shardul even on matters and products he does not supply or sell, he is just happy to offer his knowledge to us forum members, he is usually the first person I contact when I have an issue with my car.
Regards,
OZZYAMG

That's really good to know, as I just sent him a note about getting set up with it. I figure this should be one of my first "special tool" investments on account I want to get serious with this car.

Is Shardul still active on here?
Shardul,
I've been away from the forum for a long time, but recently taking an interest in modifying some things on my 2004 E55 (I'm original owner). I was looking at a thread on Lowering the Car using a Star Diagnostic tool, and many people suggested to contact you for the Star Diagnostic. Hope I didn't misinterpret and you are the guy to contact.
Thanks
John
