I said the C5 Z06 (LS6 02+) is as fast as the LS3 vettes.
Here is a list of the fastest C5Z's and what they have hit 1/4 mile with a list of the mods on their cars. As you can see with just bolt-on's they are 120+ trap cars.

I think it is very hard to compare cars because who knows what is stock and how good the drivers are, etc.
I raced my friends bone stock 2005 Vette (which is the same hp as the 03 Z06) at the track and beat it with my tire spinning (lifted once) 12.36 @ 117 to his 13.0 @ 105. His was an auto with 2.6 gears so that was a big part of it. I have a tune only.
I also ran a buddy's 2009 Vette (cat back) from a roll and beat him by a few car lengths with bald tires spinning all the way through first.
So, as you can see, there are always some factors that skew the perception.

I've raced a stock c5 z06 in my stock E55 a few times and was pulling away slowly every time. I was so happy yet surprised. E55 is a ****ing beast man, it's just so smooth so you don't feel how fast you're going.

The thing is, having 25% less weight, makes you really curious as to what the E55 would do if it weighed the same as the Corvette. They're two really incomparable cars, but the fact that people love putting them in the same sentence is a big testament as to how much of a beast the E55 really is.

I'm talking about a stock c5 Z06, not just a stock c5. And as far as I know a stock c6 is about the same fast as a c5 z06? Not sure though. Obviously if the E55 weighed the same as the Corvette it would murder it because it has so much more power, but it doesn't weigh the same so it needs the extra power. Either way a stock E55 is faster than a stock c5 z06.
An 02+ C5Z with a good driver would slightly edge or be even with a stock E55. You my friend beat the driver, not the car.

C6 is slower than a c5z. Stock c5z's run low 13's out here, c6's run high 13's at our track in Vegas. On a cold dec night at our track I ran my intake, exhausted, tuned, a6 equipped c6 to a best of 12.4@113. It made 365rwhp/365rwtq. On a side note, my c6z bone stock in 90deg Vegas heat trapped 123.(12.0). It made 460/435 stock

That's hilarious because I knew someone would say something like that or call BS.. well the driver of the Z06 owns a handful of sub 10 second cars including an 8 second mustang, all manuals. His Z06 had paper plates but he was shifting like a CHAMP trust me. I let him get the jump from like 30-40mph because he tried to get me cheaply, and had to stop his pull but I reeled him in and even up with him by about 140. It was also about 40 degrees outside that night if that helps.
