I can't believe after the first run against the Vette the E55 didn't get any kind of performance mod so it wasn't stock anymore. Especially with the Vette getting some mod upgrades.
A simple tune with nothing else is going to make a difference for the guy, so it will be interesting to see the next video since this one said he is getting a tune now.

The E55 is not slow, the Z06 is just really fast
. The 02+ C5 Z06 is as fast as the LS3 vettes. I used to be a C5 Z06 owner I should know. If this guy has LT's, exhaust, and tune then he can trap a healthy 120-122mph depending on the driver.

It's not an LS3, it is an LS6. The LS3 is in the C6.
H/c/I c5z's will trap high teens to low 120's in Vegas. A 540rwhp/500tq 416ci fully built 03 c5z with a great driver and good weather only traps 126 out here.
I had an 01 c5z cammed and bolted that would have been a 118 car at best

Why is something wrong with the E55? It is STOCK and the Vette already trapped 115 before making a little more power going from untuned to tuned and better headers so it isn't slow.
Last time at the track there were 3 modded E55s there, all with headers, all tuned and all with a pulley (2 with supercharger pullies other with a crank pulley) the traps were 116, 116 and 115 for the highest traps. Why is it hard to believe a STOCK E55 got beat by a 400whp much lighter Vette?

I used to have an 01 z06....and followed the ls1 forum closely years ago.... there was a guy named "ranger" who got his 02 stock z06 to run 11's with sticky tires and good driving if I remember right...... so with a good driver these cars are quick.
I'm not the best driver.... I rem pulling up next to an old man in a sl65 in my 01z06, he was sipping his coffee...... I pulled off in a spirited fashion and he nailed it...... so I nailed it..... and thought I'd teach this old chap a lesson...... and I was peddling the gas power shifting as fast as I could..... and he just pulled away one hand on the wheel and one hand on his coffee..... next light he turns over with this shi3 eating grin and pulls away..... after spanking z06-boy.
Z06 story #2.... (last one I promise).... @ 20K miles psg side window quits.... so off to chevy dealership...... tech shows me how they fix em..... he says hold the down button down..... and then he procedes to SLAM the crap out of the door...... and nothing..... he says 1 more time..... SLAM!!!! and then window goes down....up like normal! He says we normally charge $150 for this service. LOL. gotta love the general.

Its not hard to believe the 55 would get beat, but by that much? My car bone stock dynoed at 470 rwtq, the vette only dynoed 380 wrtq. So you would think the torque advantage of the 55 would make up for the weight disadvantage.

Yes, but the Z06 is nearly 1000lbs lighter and also dynos should be looked at with a grain of salt. They don't mean much trying to compare one car to another when they weren't on the same dyno or even more so the same day on the same dyno. Dynos vary ALOT.

idk how fast those old school c5 zo6s are but, I know they can't be that much faster than the new grand sports and I pull on them with ease. I have headers and a tune and fresh Michelin SS tho he is stock

Then you mine as well throw that "400 whp" out if dynos vary so much. I'm sure the heat gets to the 55 a lot more than the vette, so that may also play into the equation.

I had headers, 180 pulley, 80mm throttle body so basically all the bolt ons.

heres my turbo porsche against a z06 in a half mile run. sorry you dont much of the vette! at 1 time he had his view but its gone and cant find it
