LEAKY MOTOR MOUNTS?!
Gents,
My 05 with 55k miles is currently in the shop for the brake fluid flush and new shoes/rotors. Service writer calls me to inform me that the motor mounts are leaking. He is quoting 6/7 hours labor plus parts to make right. Does anybody out there have any experience with this? Looking for feedback with cost, parts, etc. Thanks guys

i was just quoted $1150 to replace motor mounts and tranny mount on my E63...
the motor mounts i believe were $180-$220 each
the tranny mount was about $120-170
ive heard on the E63's there is a header obstruction to the mounts, or else i would do the job myself..

I bought all my mounts for a tick under $200 and I had them all bolted in in roughly a little more than an hour.
If that is an MB workshop, I would suggest finding a good indy who should be able to decimate that price you are about to be given.

Gents,
Thanks for chiming in and offering your advice/suggestions. Can anyone recommend a place to buy these mounts for a decent price? I am going to ask my Indy what he charges next.

OEM is usually best, but with OEM supplied parts...same thing except no MB logo on it.

I also have bilstein on mine (made in Germany ), but I did not have the stock on before to compare. My headers cracked so I think I should try a different mount.

Haha considering the same ones are used in all the E-classes I don't think they were spec'd for 600+ftlbs at the crank. But $150 of yearly cost is worth the trade off.
