Last day of E55 ownership.

Haven't been active on here for a while. I've had to many other things going on, one of these was a replacement for the engine in my E55 as it went BANG!

So today I bid fairwell to her...

Stay tuned for what's next!

Ouch. Whatever you do next I'm sure will be just as fun and I hope you score a beauty!

Also, I thought we decided that it's not the tune, it's the ultimate lack of fuel that causes this due to the stock fuel rail. Just curious, what was the year/miles on your car? Also, what mods did you have?

Definitely had some detonation going on and maybe a bad injector? Either way, you've moved on, and hope you enjoy what you have for its replacement

He had a fuel rail. Fuel rail isn't the end all solution plus that was #7 and not the famed #8 that doesn't get as much pressure. I didn't even have a looped fuel rail when i was making over 600HP for what its worth and had zero problems. People can come up with idea's all day long but in the end there's thousands of things that could of caused it.

Can't see the top of the piston but it looks like it just went lean. Might of detonated breaking the ring land then started melting *****. All we do know is the spark plugs turned into blow torches.
