I ran into a heavily modded one when I was stock and had 3 passengers in my car with me. The neon got the hit but ill put cars on him easily. Chirped him real quick at a light he claimed around 450hp to the wheel but I didn't believe him.

if he knows how to drive, he can still brake boost from any speed so lag is not going to be an issue for him especially since he is on stock turbos and not some giant GT turbo kit that could have lag.... running high psi on stock turbos will run out of breath at higher speeds to race him on the highway

Lost to one at the track, but that was when I was stock.. He ran an 11.9x or something.. Im sure he had full bolt ons. Definately not slow when modded, but they are plastic POS

With a manual I suppose lag would be no problem too. We were talking about it and he is convinced 100% he will walk me. So now that hes serious, we will take it to a local track, because that's just the safe thing to do, and numbers from a track don't lie. Would an aftermarket heat exchanger help my times much? I do know that every 100 lbs lost is a tenth off the quarter, and obviously run on a 1/4 tank or less. I don't know if hes researched the E55, or if hes going off what I told him, but he is extremely convinced. Maybe he has other mods? Who knows, but him?

You know we can prepare ourselves 100% and right when we are about to race sometime unforseen stuff happens. Happened with top notch dragsters too chawkins, RBJ to name a few.
So best way to see is "race him" and take videos High Definition preferably

If you think about HE, with the same amount of $ you spend on the HE, you can get a smaller supercharge pulley or a remote tune and that can ensure you 20+->30hp.

The only problem being I actually need a heat exchanger, mine is slightly damaged. Also, I know these things happen where you have your checklist all ready to go, then you stage and draw a blank, or your trans explodes in RBJs case. Hopefully we can have some fun with it, thats all that really matters. Oh and winning.. lol I will see if I can get a few HD cameras for it when we can, I know my camcorder is HD but I cant find the dang charger, easy fix though.

Cause the O.P is 19 and super excited about racing im guessing lol. But i agree i wasted way to much time reading all that non sense. Should i go from a dig? or a roll, should i down shift or up shift? Should i get a oil change first and then race him? Should i heat up my tires or not?

2) He doesn't know much about SRT-4s, especially potential when modded
3) He wants to reach out to fellow E55 brothers who might have raced one or know something about them

Yup.

All I am saying is the OP is clearly young and excited about this potential (maybe even mythical) race. Depending on mods, the SRT should be very close performance-wise to the E55 in question. Just because it isn't a race against a Ferrari or Lamborghini it shouldn't be talked about?. Check your egos.

OP, as previously stated by other members, they can be extremely capable. Don't hesitate with the footage either, it's always nice to get some Mexican footage

Also once you win or lose or win by a lot or lose by a lot is the only way to set a standard for yourself. Judging from that point you can decide how much money you want to pour in this car or just happy the way it is.
