Plus torch plus strap wrench. Also greater than a 5ft prybar because then the strap wrench would slip. Looks like for the first time in a long time I have to take my vehicle to someone with better tools

Heat the bolt for about 2 mins with a torch and hit it with a snap on impact wrench. Also wedge a screw drive between the magnet and sc to stop it from spinning when you use the impact.

Dang, mine came off pretty easy. Used a battery powered Craftsman impact and hit it for like 10 seconds then it came out.

I bought the sickest impact wrench I could find in short notice ( over 1100ft-lb peak torque ) and modifying my compressor to reach 140psi. Even then it took heat and a million tries to get it to come loose.

Thanks Shardul. We heated the hell out of that bolt and laid the impact on it for a good 30-40 seconds. I didn't think about putting a screw driver between the magnet and supercharger, that might have been the hold we needed. This is the first bolt that bested me and I don't like it lol. I may just take it to a shop, have them do the before/after dyno and put the pulley on.

That's what we were expecting, be done in 30 minutes and have a beer while the loctite dries

We took the regulator off the compressor and uncapped the 3/8 to 1/4 inch fittings to get max power out of the thing but still nothing. I think we needed the bigger impact like you say. Trying to remove that bolt was the toughest thing I did all weekend which also included a head swap on a 2003 audi a4
