New AMG Owner
Hi all! I recently joined the AMG fraternity by picking up a 2004 E55 sedan in Brillant Silver with SL65 wheels. I've owned Mustangs all my life, and currently have a 2003 Cobra and a 2013 Boss 302. While I love driving them, I wanted a car I could relax in, preferably with an automatic. Something I wouldn't mind jumping in and braving LA traffic or taking on a road trip. Plus, I wanted something a little more practical.
While I considered some new mid-size sedans, for the price I wanted to pay (mid 20s) I wasn't getting much. And having 2 other 450+ hp cars, I didn't think I could handle only 200. So I checked the prices on my favorite German sedan, the W211 E55, and was kind of shocked to see they were within my price range! I saw this beauty in Newport Beach. It was to color I wanted, had the wheels I wanted, and was low-ish miles (49K).
I checked it out, and the car is near immaculate. It has every receipt from every service performed and all original books (except the Comand manual) and paperwork.
So far I absolutely love it. The acecleration is just a tidal wave of power, ride in amazing, and the build quality is as would be expected of Mercedes. I am hooked and am looking for mods to uncork this beast! Sorry for the bad pics, I'm still cleaning her to my specs.

Your car looks great. I like the wheels. These cars are a great bargain. I am keeping my stock. It has plenty of power as is. Today I test drove a 2007 Maserati quatroporte GT, It has a ferrari 400 HP motor and 6 speed automatic. Car is awsome but twice as much as E55 while nowhere as quick. Good luck with your ownership. Don't backup into that nice Mustang lol!
