What was your 60' before the stall?

1.73 and two runs were 1.74 so without tune it would do 1.74 and a 1.75 so that says since i picked up 2.5tenths in the quarter at the same 60ft this car would benefit from the stall. unless your torque is flat lined at 1500rpms or so the stall wont benefit and looking at my dyno graph thats not the case lower the rpm on the dyno less torque and power so this stall is perfectly matched for the torque.

If you only managed 1.73 and 1.74 you had a bunch left. I've ran low 1.60's on street tires with a tune and 175mm pulley only. On just the tune I did a 1.67 on street tires. Kinda confused that you only went 1.73 with drg radials.

Michelin pilot sports. Not the PS2's just the regular pilot sports. I cut mid 1.60's at 2 other local tracks that don't have the prep MIR does so it wasn't just prep. A bunch of the guys at the rental were amazed I was cutting 1.6x every pass.

We're you running drag radials with those times? If so what size?

I went 11.70's on just a tune in 80+ degree weather and stock cooling. I've gone 11.59 with a 1.64 60ft on street tires with a tune/175mm pulley only and stock cooling also in 80 degree weather.

good runs i still have the mph for a 11.xx which is my goal. stock pulley power. either way the car feels way better more fun to drive on the street with the stall.

That's impressive, how are you launching the car to get such good 60 ft times??

I think we should keep in mind that 60ft achieved with one car with a particular set of mods and driver on stock TQ might not be achieved with a different driver in a different car but with the same mods. That other driver in that other car might need a higher stall to achieve an equivalent 60ft times.

What I think is more important is that 99lightning, who actually has a higher stall TQ and daily driving with it, is reporting no problems, the high stall is just like stock, until he gets on it. Thats the actual and realistic feedback that people like me are looking for....thanks OP for providing feedback.

also look at it this way like i mentioned before not that i want to be spinning tires down the road what would it take to kill tires from 2nd gear roll and i dont mean totally flooring it pulley headers? i drove in a car with that and it didnt do it. but the fact that my car is without all that simply says power is multiplied and transfering to the tires. and thats felt in high gear as well, the pull is stronger. which i figured it would just like when i drive these lightnings and get in one with a stock stall i want to park it fast becasue its awfull.

I would like to see a trans temp gage comparo between stock and high-stall in hot bumper-to-bumper traffic down south to be sure no issues....... my past high-stall street applications yeilded a need for an aux trans cooler... particularly if you run a non-lock mod converter.

From what I gather the higher stall... slip gen heat..... Any issues with oil temps would be helpful.

A higher stall might require slicks to hook as well..... so real track results will be nice to see. A higher stall on the street is a hoot, and really wakes things up.
